Redemption Burgers

The best burger joint in town I have been and also run by super amazing owners. Try them all but my favourites are the Mexican and the Karoo Grazer.

The last time we were here we had lunch as a couple. This time we came back as a family for breakfast. If you get an opportunity sit inside. So much effort has gone into the quirky decor. The kids really loved the menus. I loved everything about this place but then again I am a rocker chick. Coffee was great. Breakfast was fantastic. Every morsel was mouthwatering deliciousness. The bonus was a visit from Mick Jagger. He truly has loads of energy.

We were living in Woodstock and checked out the old biscuit mill on a Friday. It was not very busy but the claim of the best burgers in Cape Town attracted us to thus cafe. The food took quite long and service was slow. The avocado burger was good but the cajun chicken was just a few tasteless pieces of chicken breasts on a huge bed of very old lettuce drenched in a dressing with soggy old baby tomatoes. Only the two pieces of haloumi between the mountain of lettuce were tasty.

My friend and I had a burger here after hiking Table Mountain. We both declared our burgers to not only be the best we had in South Africa, but really ever and we are from the States. We recommended this place to other people we met along our travels.

Good food made with care. Nice selection of craft beer and the setting allows you to absorb the market atmosphere. We had a uncaring waitress on the day, but was looked after very well on a previous occasion. I'm not a fan of the present trend of serving a burger on a wooden board. No facilities, like all the other shops, but close to the market restrooms. Redemption is a family go to.

Very informal environment. I went by myself and actually sat at the same table as a family from Germany. I definitely did not mind but would've liked to know ahead of time that seating would be arranged this way. Totally cool though!! The food was amazing. I had the ostrich hamburger which was wonderful. Such a superior flavor that I loved.

Wow after Saucisse's non existing service, what a pleasure it was to meet TERSA on arrival to greet and seat us at Redepmtion, Menus in hand we could order right away as we had now passed over an hour without lunch at that other place. Shortly our drinks arrived, in due course our delicious Burgers arrived. We felt TERSA'S presence , Always anticipating our needs and executing and delivering on time,\.Best food best service and GREAT PRICES EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY AND A GREAT EXPERIENCE.We felt so relaxed and taken care of we stayed...and spent for two hours. Well done!.by default due to a bad experience elsewhere....we too stumbled across REDEMPTION!

I stumbled upon this place on a visit to the Old Biscuit Mill and had a most enjoyable Lunch.The menu is printed on old vinyl records.I savoured the Ostrich Burger with a glass of the local Craft draught beer, service was prompt and friendly.

We just stayed for drunks but where treated with nice service with always a smile. Perfect location to rest while visiting neighborhood market.
