RARE Steakhouse

Had a very pleasant lunch here, with great service, tasty food and I thought it was reasonably priced. Covid-19 regulations all in place and I liked that we sat outside, under the open roof

The steak was really good - tender, tasty and well-presented. Tables are not too crowded and you are not made to feel that you need to finish and make way for other customers. Table service was good, and there is a good variety on the menu. Worthwhile revisiting.

We visit Rare Steakhouse in Clearwater Mall quite often and always get great food. It's a Contemporary, Casual restaurant. It has seating inside and outside. And good for groups. The staff is very friendly and efficient even when very busy. Attentive host. The menu has a great variety of meals. Their steak is served on and of the bone. I had the Fillet steak servered with the Traditional Basting. You can order it with Olive oil, Pepper mix as alternative. My steak was juicy and well prepared. I had a fluffy baked potato and it came with oven-roasted Bone Marrow. The food was of high quality.

As a rule I do not appreciate restaurant food anymore as I am of the opinion that some restaurants are overrated, over priced, do not care about customers or quality food. Some are just feeding the masses without giving any attention to quality and good food. I must confess that I was pleasantly surprised with the steak I had recently at Rare. The food overall was good at a reasonable price. If they can keep that up, they will differentiate themselves from the rest of the mass producing restaurants. Great stuff guys.

The service was very good. The food was absolutely divine. Their presentation of the food also plays an important part. Just by looking at it, is "please eat and enjoy me". I also ordered the chocolate volcano - you need to order that. I was over the and will definitely order that again. A suggestion if you are two you can order a veggie and share it between two people. We also enjoy the fairy lights in Clearwater it made it really a nice,relaxing evening out. It is a little bit pricy. Our bill was R550 but the food, drinks and dessert was worth it.

The food was excellent, (Had to have marrow bone on toast !!) before my main meal. The food was tasty, first class and well presented. The service very good and our waiter a real sweety!A definite must try if you love meat!

Despite being inside a shopping center this restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. Great meat and friendly service. The blue-cheese and jagermeister sauce is divine: not too creamy and not overwhelming, perfectly compliments a steak.

We had a great steak and salad with a good very good wine. We were looked after by a very good friendly waiter who really looked after us and even sent some spoils for our doggies. What a great Friday afternoon.

We decided to hop in on a Sunday as we were in the mood for a good old fashioned buffet lunch. We noticed advertising in the mall and sat down. The buffet lunch was quickly explained and we got an understanding of 1 serving for the money. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were able to sit inside away from the hustle and bustle from the mall. A lot of detail went into the design and layout of the restaurant and we love what you have done.We had a great selection of wonderfully prepared hot foods - a selection of 2 roasts and a great side serving of delicious vegetables you can choose from. We loved the corn on the cob - how we longed for a delicious "mielie" and butter. Delicious! However, it was your curry that stole the show. I had to sneak in a little bit of curry and think you have the best curry in town. Go figure. We loved the food and the selection.What was also pleasant was the fact that the waiter did not come by every 2 minutes. It was great as we could enjoy a great meal and not be bothered too often.You got it right, our experience was delightful.

Enjoyed the food but the waiter was poorly trained and not very attentive. Simple mistakes such as leaning over in front of my wife to serve my dish. Actually, put his elbow in her face.
