I went here with my family of 4 for lunch yesterday. Our waitress was horrible. She was very rude and seemed like she was acting the same way to others around her.... mumbling under her breath, looked unhappy... just bad vibes . Our silverware was dirty, our bill was $100 which I wouldn’t mind but not when your feeling uncomfortable to even ask your waitress for what you need because she seemed so miserable! I had a Caesar wrap, was very bland . Would not come back again.

This place is definitely over rated - for all the money you have to pay its really not worth while! Very small variety of food ! A lot of food on the menus were not available. The desert was absolutely horrid! I will never eat there again!

Love this place. Good vibe great food awesome service. Will be back. Just need to add better desserts. Thanks Lou Ann

...……As always it remains a snazz-ii elegant experience when dinning at this restaurant! Although the only change they have made to this place in the last 21 years is to have removed all the smart furniture and replaced it with standard tables and chairs and the table settings are as if you are at Rocomammas or even a local eater-ii. No snazz-ii white table-cloths and nice cutlery only a box with a number and the tools that are needed for the patrons to eat their meals with! The buffet style food serving is one of the best in and around Cape Town by far! They have various cold drinks on offer, lots of fresh salads, good selection of starters made up of fried fish & calamari and the soup of the day, various main courses to choose from ranging from roasted meats to fried fish and also cooked foods like mutton-curry and stews! The desserts are just as well prepared and good for the eyes as for the stomach also they offer a great selection of cheeses and cracker-breads as a starter or after meal end off even love-lii cakes of various flavours! CAUTION: -It’s never an easy task to make a reservation here as the phone lines are always busy, to make a reservation by phone it becomes a 15 to 20 minutes escapade every-time and if you look at the photo posted by myself the restaurant offers the patrons an email option BUT! Don’t waste your time with this option as they don’t seem to have personal manning this option! I sent an email on the 13th February 2018 to make a reservation for the 24th February and by the 21st February had No reply! So I called and after a 15 minute wait I spoke to a lady named Roc-Shawn who was very helpful and also she was unable to tell me why the email side was dysfunctional. And it turned out to be a futile exercise to inform them in the booking office and also via the manager at Quarter Deck whose name was “Shane” who told me categorically that Its No concern of his as Bookings are done in another section of the establishment! My! My! My! Do these people not all work for Sun International?????? Never-the-less what was nice was that after I managed to make the reservation they inform you via sms that your booking was successful and on the day of your reservation they again send you a sms to confirm that you will be coming! Not bad at all!!....Otherwise always an enjoyable time here with the good spread that’s on offer!!!........ ...

After a few years, we decided to revisit this restaurant as we were extremely disappointed with our last visit concerning the quality of food and the poor customer service at this restaurant. Unfortunately, food was still mediocre, not better than any takeaways and the customer service was sad. The waiters gives one the impression that you need to eat fast and get out and at 10H00, they would clear your table irrespective if you are still busy socialising with friends or not making it clear that it is closing time, yet their prices have escalated to an alarming degree. Not worth a visit until management get their act together

Went here for my sister in laws birthday, and as she is pregnant, her hubby thought it would be a good idea to go to a buffet restaurant due to the variety.. A seating cost R250 per person and includes bottom list soda. Not sure if any other drinks are available as not a single member of staff offered us a drink.. Quite odd. Another heads up, as it is an halaal restaurant, no pork available Reasonable selection of dishes, starters and deserts, but like the title of the review says, its a buffet restaurant

Server did not know anything about wine (circled what we wanted on the wine list and took it to the bar). She was basically a very friendly "plate remover". Most of the kitchen staff were not very attentive except for one gentleman who brighten which ever counter he was working behind.ONLY ONE SOUP at a buffet, please tell me why?Seafood was good, prawns muscles, calamari, chilli balls and fish. If we had known what the rest our experience was going to be like, this would have been all that we would have eaten. One party member actually ditched his roast and went back to the seafood.Curries were too potent, hid away the flavour of the food. I and another member of our party only had the lamb curry and both of us agreed that it would have been very enjoyable if it wasn't so potent. We did not want to try any of the other curries because of our experience. Another member of the party had the "tomato bredie" only to discover that it had chillies in it. Another member had hoped to find her Moroccan curry from the last visit (which she told everyone before hand to taste) only to be sadly disappointed. She actually has premixed Moroccan curry spices in her kitchen, because of her previous experience.Roast consisted only beef, which dry and the vegetables was not all that enjoyable. I cannot say much more for this part of the menu.Desert bar, you cannot call flavoured "whipped cream" tiramisu, unsweetened custard (didn't know that existed) just spoilt the bread and malva pudding. The child in the party did not finish eating their ice-cream (now that is bad). I was so disappointed by this time, that I did not bother to taste any other desert and actually wanted to leave.When I started this review I had given TWO stars, but as I continued to write I realized that one staff member and only one portion of your menu, cannot rescue from being a TERRIBLE experience. This was on a Friday evening, which I thought they would be "on their game".Two years ago, I was telling all of my friends and family members to visit this restaurant, now I must sadly withdraw that recommendation.

Visited the restaurant. I do not normally visit buffet places but the food was pretty good. Decent seafood selection including prawns,mussels and calamari.Overall pretty standard SA buffet selection however there could have been more lamb options. Service was acceptable and staff were friendly and helpful.

This buffet is fresh and well stocked with great variety. Look out for casino specials that can cheapen your visit but I would still find value here at R200 a head. Seafood, roasts, curries and stews are just some of the highlights. Great attentive service and an array of deserts will leave you rolling out the entrance when you are finally finished. Don't eat the whole day on the night of your visit. The only low point was the salad variety.

Great variety but drops a few points for the flying bugs around the food. I am sure that in this day and age especially a restaurant slap bang in the middle of a casino can avoid having swarms of insects around the buffet. The cheese board seemed a particular haven for the "miggies". Despite some time later citronella candles being placed by management in the area to keep the bugs away, the memory of seeing the camembert, fig preserve and brie covered in insects is a definite turn off for a fine dining experience. Despite this, the hot food was great but I did check every mouthful carefully lest a little extra protein had flown in.
