Piatto Restaurant Grill - Alberton

After being away for a few weeks it was so nice to go to our favourite restaurant. They have incredibly good specials and are well priced. The staff are always smiling and happy to assist. Whether you go alone or in a group one always leaves satisfied

The food is generally very good but all staff are amazing people who deserve a stand up 10/10! We frequent Piatto New Redruth and cant fault anything except the occasional bad meal... like any restaurant... you won’t be sorry and the pricing is very good!

Still fare value for money, not thje same as it used to be. Food is great, great service but the place has lost some of it's ambiance. The breakfast menu has now joined the rest of the cheaper options in the area.

As a senior birthday group (13 members) we visit restaurants in the region to selebarate birthdays. We visited Piatto in the past and initially the service and food were good. Then it gradually deteriorated. At one stage we decided to stop eating there. On the 10th of July 2019 we revisited Piatto New Redruth. To our surprise the service deteriorated even further. The waiter was extremely RUDE and inefficient. We complained to the manager and asked for a change in waiter. But that did not happen. Not worthwile visiting them again. SAD!

Went with my boyfriend and mum for lunch. We all had pizzas - yummy and nice - thin based with plenty of topping. Neat, clean and always welcome staff.

My wife and I belong to a birthday group. We normally get together on our birthdays and have something to eat at different places. We visited Piatto in New Redruth quite often and the service and food was good. However, last month we visited them again but the quality of food and even the service is not acceptable (on that ocasion). I doubt if we will visit them again.

Great grills and steaks, pizzas, and sea food. All of the food on the menu is well prepared and priced.

It is always great to have good places to eat nearby. Piatto is, on paper, supposed to be a good place to go.The decor is quite nice and I find the service friendly. My biggest problem is the inconsistency of their food.Being a creature of habit, I tend to have specific dishes repeatedly at the same restaurant.In Piatto’s case it is their Hake and Chips with onion rings or salad.I went back after a long hiatus, duly sitting down at a sticky table. That was ok, because the dish made up for it and the service was friendly. This gave me the hope that Piatto can go on my list of regular venues.The decision to return soon after was easier, yet the dish was very disappointing. Almost borderline raw, much smaller portion and lacking freshness.Giving it one more try, I have decided that worrying about consistency should not be my first thought when choosing my dining venue.It is an ok experience, but could improve with small nuances.

My mom comes here for lunch almost every day. I understand why. The staff are super friendly and the service is excellent. Food is great too.

We had a farewell function for our Director who got promoted to be a Chief Director in one of the Regions around Gauteng. Our seating arrangement was well laid out and the atmosphere very much welcoming. We had to wait for some of our colleagues and the waiter was patient with us.
