PRIMI - Constantia

I frequent different Primi branches because I genuinely enjoy the food but I was very disappointed with this experience. My family and I went on a Sunday afternoon (just after the lunch rush). Firstly, we waited long to be seated and there wasn't even a queue (there was just no one there to help us). We got to the table and it was sticky and I had to ask them to clean it. There weren't enough plates on the table (I asked twice for extra) and our bread came 40 minutes after we arrived with not enough pieces for all the people at the table. We waited close to 45 minutes for the food and then they forgot my side dish and my husband's starter and his water. We had to ask them to bring the extra food we ordered and it came as I finished my meal. I had zucchini fries which were incredibly oily and didn't come with the accompanying garlic aioli. I can't recommend this place and I don't think that I will go back.

We wanted peace and quiet to chat and that's what we had! We both had pasta dishes and they were both absolutely great! The service was good but not overpowering and they had non-alcoholic beers which we both wanted!

Been craving a salad the whole morning. Decided to try something different and ordered the Crispy Chicken Livers salad. What a delicious salad and will definitely order it again! Apart from that, I want to compliment my waitress Rufaro but also the rest of the waiters for being so attentive and hands on! You all team players and assisted each other in clearing tables even if it's not your own table. Well done on good service!

Ordered a T-bone steak medium, received it bloody and raw. There was no fat, soft meat and the rest was all chewy, couldn’t eat it at all. After letting them know, they over to remove my drink..... unbelievable, wont return

We have been regular diners at Primi over the years, mainly at the Waterfront and mostly no complaints, just wonderful and generous plates of food. Today we wereat the Century City shopping mall and were feeling peckish and decided to give Primia try. Cynthia (wow you were incredible) was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and just the most awesome 'waitress' ever! My chicken caesar was generous with softly boiled eggs, generous anchovies (I love), not drowned in dressing and just great. My partners special 'Pica Poca' was sublime... I tasted the sauce and was blown away. Wow and Im not a sauce fan either. Melt in your mouth blocks of beef, maybe rump panfried with a sauce of garlic, chilli flakes, neapolitan sauce, cream, old brown sherry etc. It wasthe finest sauce I have ever tasted. You need to go and try it ; and the bread on the side, If I wasn't trying to shed a few kilos I would have mopped it up swiftly! Glad we stopped by as it was a really great meal. Had a staff lunch at Primi and the food, drinks and service were fantastic! The staff were friendly and attentive and the service fast. The pastas are always good and ribs and pizza the same. Will be back

Popped in for a still water and a starter for a light meal. The restaurant wasn’t busy, it was after 14:45 and lunch patrons had already left. The service was poor. No waitrons were the same, the starter took ages to arrive and then I had to ask three times to have my bill brought to the table. Only once I’d got up and pushed in my chair did the staff take any notice. The waiter then had the nerve to say to me that they were busy, yet the place was not even half full. Piss poor service!

We were doing some shopping at Century City and popped into Primi for a late afternoon lunch. We definitely made the right choice as this was a great afternoon lunch.

Very big and yummy grilled chicken salad. Great menu with variety. Good interior and looked like the manager was on top of things.

This was my third trip to this branch of the franchise and the worst. The service is always horrible but the food is good and therefore the reason for my continuous return. However after this I will not be returning to this branch again. We were seated and left for 30 minutes and in that time no-one came to ask our order despite seeing us setting there with our menu’s. The staff merely ignored us, eventually we asked for someone to call our waiter and no one pitched up. We eventually just stood up and left. It is a shame as the food is really good however not worth putting up with the horrible service.
