Ottoman Palace

Went for lunch on Sunday 25 July.1. Ice cold inside restaurant. No attempt at closing the doors to shield the wind. No attempt at even the smallest form providing of heat.2. Waiter. Below average. Did not explain properly. No indication of what makes this restaurant unique - which it clearly is NOT.3. Tables and photos shown on FB and social media ate blatent lies. It does not even have a minutely slight resemblance of what are shown on the photos.4. Plain white. Super bland. NO colour. No candles as ler photos. Nothing. Bad - very bad.5. Food. Starters - sort of OK. Nothing resembling hospitality and charm as advertised.Main course - way, way, way below accepted standards. Rice. A minute portion. And ice cold. Meat I guess was sort of good. Lambtjops good. But the rest... Beef chunks, chicken chunks = 2 out of 10. Intended to be so-called Turkish kebab. Not even close. Mere chunks of meat thrown on a plate. And ice cold.Really bad meat.6. Presentation of everything ... Maybe 1 out of 10.7. Tip. The waiter had the audacity to add his own tip. And more than 10% I might add.A lunch at a unique venue. Intended to be very special. Supposed to be great if I believe social media.All in all an extremely bad experience.1 out of 10.Will I go back?Will I take friends?NEVER.

Went for lunch on a Sunday, fairy busy. Was warmly welcomed by waiter who was attentive during the visit. Ordered the Ottoman Mixed Grill for 2, which has a mixture or pizza, chicken, kebab, chops and salads. Was too much for us and had to ask for a doggy bag. Only negative was the constant presence of flies. Would recomend it.

Was looking for something different for lunch and it delivered . From the starters right up to the dessert including the Turkish coffee . Meat and chicken was tasty and soft . Salads was fresh , enjoyed the hummus ,

Pleasant greeting on arrival, varied and interesting menu.My friend and I took the waiter's advice and ordered the Turk8sh mixed grill for 2. It was very good.

Visited the Ottoman Palace for Lunch during a business visit to Johannesburg. Always drove past this Centre and decided to try the Turkish restaurant. Safe and secure free parking. The restaurant was not busy. I ordered a typical Turkish lemom juice which was very refreshing. For the main course, I had a Lamb salad which was well prepared and tasty. Service was efficient. I enjoyed the meal and would recommend the restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere.Worth a try.

Meals were well prepared. Excellent tasting beef cubes. Salads were fresh. The start dish came free with the meal was yum. The drink called "Iran" is a bit sour, but worth tasting. The turkish tea was nice. The service from the waiter was excellent. Beautiful decor and setup.. There is a takeaway option as well. Will definately go there more regularly.

We try ''The bridge'' (mixed turkish kebab), it was excellent, tasty, an otantic experience, you must try, also the turkish coffee was intersting

Food was tasty, service was good. Bathrooms had a bit of a smell. We had the platter for 4 and it was almost enough for 6 people. It was a nice experience but I don't think I will go again.

This is a lovely, spacious and clean restaurant with hospital staff and good food. The prices are quite high however if you order a platter for 2 its usually enough for 3 or even 4 if you order a few small starter/side dishes.

Went there for dinner after the mosque visit. It complements the experience but I wouldn't go just to eat there unless I'm really close by. Service was really good as we were a large group with small children. But I found the food taste and quality average. Only the Bread, and Pizza Bread, fresh out of the oven were delicious.
