On Sixth - It's All About Taste

Local eatery that we tried out for the first time. Burgers aren't great, but the pizza was great and the chicken liver starter was really good. Well worth a visit.

I've been to the restaurant 4 times and everytime it's like my first time there. Thought I'd finally share my experiences...The food is devine oohhh and the quality service (please keep it up xxx we really appreciate it). I love love IT?? Please may you add De Krans espresso to your wine list as I'll be a regular here

The atmosphere, the food, the management, the chefs were all top quality and I always had an amazing experience. I use to be a regular client to eat lunch and sometimes dinner. But something happened in the past few months? I do not know if there are new owners but I have noticed that the manager is different. The chefs kitchen is open, you would expect the chefs to be respectful towards your food but that are not. In the open they all eating the ingredients behind the managers back, the worst part is they eat while they make the food, they also do not wear masks. The presentation of the food is still good but I loose my appetite every time I go there now. Apparently there are no more sushi specials but the menu states different and the wheat free base has a terrible taste, even the smell over empowers the pizza. Really sad and disappointing because I had a lot of respect for the restaurant but I will never go back. I have tried numerous times to ignore these problems thinking it was just bad luck but every time I go there I notice more things that put me off.

On Sixth never disappoints!! The sushi is just the best in the world as far as I am concerned. Its the first place I go to when I am in SA and its just down the road from my house which is also great. Whether its lunch or dinner, your dining experience will always be awesome. Also one of the best steaks in johannesburg. The sushi is such great value for money. Especially my favourite "Salmon Sashimi"!!!

The restaurant makes for an exciting evening especially if someone is celebrating an occasion.Well done and on a par with the best.

Staying approximately 6 years in the East Rand and never know about this gem. The service was excellent, the food even better. This is a real family restaurant. When we visited this restaurant was packed and service was still excellent. Will most definitely visit again.

1st visit and what an Awesome place, friendly staff. Very nice. Will go there again anytime, very lekkerrr food. Loved it.

We went for the Monday night special pizza offer. The pizzas were delicious, the restaurant is lovely, staff are very friendly. Service was a little slow but we will definitely visit again

We were a party of 10 for a farewell lunch. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a relaxed atmosphere. The waiters are neatly dressed and very professional. We ordered a variety of dishes from pizzas to steaks and everyone were very satisfied with their choices. They take care in the presentation of the dishes that will remind you of some more expensive 5 star restaurants.It was my first but I will definitely be back!
