Thank you Joseph & team at Olives & Plates @ Wits. We had an amazing luncheon for Mums 75th birthday. The food was awesome as was the birthday cake, nothing is too much trouble for this team, absolutely outstanding service!

Olives and Plates (WITS) made the family and friend lunch a wonderful celebration and everything was taken care of. Joseph was stellar in arranging and communicating all the details and the team on the day delivered. Yet again.... A wonderful meal at an amazing venue. This restaurant serves upmarket food with presentation to match. The staff are friendly and helpful.The venue is comfortable and cozy. There are so few places in the city that one can sit outside under the trees and relax. This place is well worth the visit. Be sure to book as it gets busy. The Website still states they are closed on a Sunday this is not correct. We have been there often on Sundays. The decor does not have the finesse that it used to but is still a visual treat. There are some areas that a bit of upgrading of finishing touches will not go amiss.

Joseph and the team are very responsive and proactive in order to ensure that guests are well accommodated. Our seminar held on 2 March went so well without a glitch, and all our invited guests and speakers (50 in total) included dignitaries, lawyers, experts, etc. were very pleased, withthe venue, the food and hospitality!

I would recommend Olives & Plates if you are at Wits or in the area. The restaurant has great food and portions, with decent service. Outside seating is a pleasant experience on a beautiful day with good company

Thank you to all the amazing staff at O&P for making our wedding absolutely perfect.My husband and I chose O&P for the stunning venue and excellent food. From the very first meeting with Joseph when we started our journey to find a venue right through to the execution of our day in style we have loved every minute. The seamless organisation, superb wait staff, excellent food (thank you chef Matthew and team) it was all incredible. We are still getting compliments from our guests about the incredible setting and fantastic food with quotes such as 'best wedding food ever', 'what a wonderful place to get married, who knew you could find such a gorgeous, tranquil spot in the middle of Johannesburg?' and more. It was all we asked for and more. Thank you Jimmy, Joseph and all at O&P. You handled our many queries and site visits with grace and aplomb. Nestled on Wits University's campus - Olives & Plates shines in its Capetownian glory. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a vintage vibe and the service is excellent! Thanks to safe parking and friendly staff our company breakfast was off to a great start.The staff made sure that no glasses were empty and not a dirty plate was seen, with bacon in abundance and sweet treats that soothe the soul, we had a great time!The food was excellent and I will certainly be back in my personal capacity for a meal. Highly recommended whether you want a business function, wedding, party or just a lovely brunch.

Joseph and the team, helped me host a company breakfast for 130 people! Every detail was impeccable - food was amazing, service was better than amazing. Nothing was too much to ask and the whole company had the best time!We will 100% be back!thank you Joseph and team!

Olives & Plates is an excellent excuse to join Wits parkrun on a Saturday morning, and then you get to enjoy one of their scrumptious breakfasts.When the weather plays along it is a great venue for outside breakfast, brunch or lunch. (Note there is an inside section too for other days). Relaxed atmosphere and delicious food, lovingly presented. Take the family and try it - it is well worth it.

Our company hosted our yea end function at olives and plates and I think its safe to say it will be one that will be remembered for years to come. The service we receive was excellent. The waiters were on the ball with all the food and desserts. Everything we required was delivered in a timely manner. Food quality was really good. Great variety for vegetarians as well. The owner, Joseph, provided a great means of communication as he was available to answer our calls and emails. His patience while we processed the payment was awesome as well as we came across a few hiccups. We had a great time and i would 100% recommend Olives and Plates.
