“Lovely lunch”

We came here for lunch and had a wonderful experience. My Greek salad. Was prepared perfectly and our waiter, Nathan, was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

“We visited in Sept 2019”

Wonderful restaurant with great service. We got there when they were almost done for the night but they still looked after us.

“Satisfaction Assured”

Whenever we want seafood we frequent an Ocean Basket and this one did not disappoint us. Although very busy the service was quick and very friendly. We both had fried sole and it was A1 and value for money.

“USUAL PLEASANT MEAL AT OCEAN BASKET”

We have not visited this restaurant for quite a few years but decided that we would do so whilst spending a couple of days in Cape Town. As we always find at Ocean Basket, the food was really tasty and very reasonably priced, and the service was great.

“Good value for money”

We know ob from other places in ZA and tried the Waterfront branch too. Like at other places before, we were absolutely satisfied. Good value for money, friendly service and a nice lokation with a vier (if you sit outside). We´d like to come back.

“Best Seafood”

Ocean Basket is one of my favorites in general. I tried it in many countries and almost I got the same experience and taste every time.As far as I know, Ocean basket origin is South Africa and I had to try it in its origin and it really matched my expectation.I recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers especially the prawns and shrimps

“Very busy”

Slight wait for a table. Food very good, we had the kingclip, well cooked and a good sized portion. To say they were very busy the staff did a brilliant job of making sure no one waited too long for any thing.

“Afternoon meal”

Excellent seafood restaurant, seating inside or outside. Plenty of variety of fish and shellfish on the menu. Food was very nice and well presented. Service was a little slow but it was very busy. Would recommend if you like seafood.

“Busy but well worth the wait.”

“Really good seafood!”

We have been to this restaurant for two times!the first time we went on lunch,after a ride on the capewheel,and we found it absolutely great!Food was really nice they have kid’s menu and the Rose wine was amazing!Then on our last night around Capetown we decided to come back for dinner....Same thing! We enjoyed a lot Thanks to all the staff that was very kind!

This is my go to Ocean Basket. Food is always good, you get what you ask for. Sushi comes out fast and is fresh. I always sit outside on the deck so I can enjoy my meal and wine overlooking the big wheel and mountain. Not kid friendly though, there is no play area for them.
