“Pad Thai!”
Excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Parking is a bit of an issue (same everywhere on Main Street in Obs!). Good food at great prices!

“Great Food”
Cozy little restaurant in a festive part of Observatory. Tried a variety of spring rolls and they were delicious. I requested a milder version of the Angry Beef and Thai fried rice and it was the best I’ve ever eaten. My husband had Green Curry and loved it too. Service was spot on. Loved this restaurant and will certainly be back.

“Crispy duck and sushi”
A suburb staple, Mr Lins is well known by the locals and sushi fundis. I tried a salmon platter and the Crispy Duck. The Crispy duck was amongst the best I've had in Cape Town, although the accompanying sauce could be improved. The Duck portion is massive, and real value for money. Very small venue though, and few staff, so don't get expect instant service, but they are friendly and helpful when asking for recommendations. If you aren't from Cape Town and don't know the area, you might like to know that parking close by might be tricky, so better to park around the corner and enjoy the walk. Sushi was fresh and tasty. A trip to the restrooms will however prove to be interesting, because the back of the restaurant appears to still be part of a house which looks abandoned.

“Worst sushi ever”
This place has the worst sushi ever. The crispy sushi only tasted like raw dough and the sushi was not fresh. It was tasteless, it didn't stick together and even the soja sauce wasn't salty. The seaweed was old and everything was filled with mayonnaise. Overall, the worst sushi we have ever eaten!

“Excellent food and reasonable prices”
This cozy Asian restaurant in Obz ticks all the boxes. The food, service, and atmosphere are all great, and it is not over-priced. Definitely recommend for anyone staying in or passing through Observatory.

“Very good asian and sushi”
There are a number of good sushi & Asian places in Observatory and Mr Lin’s is up there with the best of them. We visited with friends and enjoyed a range of their dishes including chicken & noodle stir fries and a range of sushi. Fresh and tasty and not badly priced.

“Great sushi and Thai”
Mr Lin's is small restaurant in vibey Observatory. The staff are super helpful and friendly and the food is great. Go for the ask you can eat option. It's great value as it includes Thai dishes, sushi and dessert. While you wait for your order to be freshly made you can help yourself to something on the small sushi belt. Parking can be an issue, but don't let that put you off, it's worth the visit.
