“Great food!”

Mozambik is great!, from the vibe to the service and attention to detail/management, but most importantly the food. Simply delicious. :)

“It was a pretty slow evening, with slower service”

It was a pretty slow evening, which made the slow service a bit surprising. The Hake and Calamari were just ok, the Haloumi appetizer tasted like salty soggy sponges. Overall a mediocre experience. I am not sure what the hype is all about.

“Excellent service and food”

We recently had lunch here, wow the food was excellent, value for money. Great service. Will be back soon. Well done !

“Mediocre”

First time we have ever visited this restaurant chain. Certainly unimpressive- slow service, lukewarm food delivered with little care in presentation. Ordered the Mega Prawn Platter - good value. Best meal item was the coconut rice.

“Best steaks”

I didn't expect it to be this amazing, literally! I ate the sacana steak and never tasted such a fine steak! Mozambique's Good Job! The smile on our faces says it all! Came the afternoon, dinner and for new years!

“Disappointing dinner”

Mozambik Ballito is supposed to be our go-to place for the locals and we went there with our normal high expectations....but, oh how disappointed were we.Our expensive dinner was very disappointing... the food was sub-standard, not good value for money and the service was poor.This is supposed to be a very good restaurant and we have eaten there many times before....always enjoying it very much...but, something has gone wrong now.So - best to avoid this restaurant for the time being until they have made some changes to their kitchen, menu and service staff.

“Nice family restaurant”

Deboned chicken with coconut sauce was one of the best ever. Service was very good. This restaurant is highly recomended for family stops.

“Nice meals and good taste but inconsistent portions...”

We tried Mozambik for lunch and dinner. The lunch was fantastic, good portion and the half a chicken and coconut rice was delicious and the chicken was a good size. A few days later, we went for dinner and the half a chicken was quite a bit smaller and a bit dry, but still tasty. The coconut rice portion was a lot less than the lunch portions.

“If you're looking for a great time!”

Great vibe, great people, excellent food! Mozambik never disappoints... the flavours are perfect and we are still trying to figure out how to replicate their sauce... Prawns are always a winner, the Portuguese chicken is tasty - so combine the two for the ultimate dish. Highly recommended!

“Most amazing food I've had in a long time!”

We went to Mozambik for supper after seeing the great score on TripAdvisor and Zomato.Wow wow wow!!!We all had amazing food and nobody at the table was left disappointed!We had Rissoles to start as well as fish cakes. I haven't had good fish cakes in a long time but always try my luck. I'm so glad I did because it was so tasty!At our table, our mains varied from hake and calamari, to espatada and peperbutter steak.The hake was incredibly soft and sooo delicious. The rump and Fillet espatada was mouth watering and definitely worth a try. Even the calamari espatada was delicious.Like I said, nobody was disappointed. We had such a good time and all finished our meals and felt like licking our plates!10/10 would recommend!

I was so disappointed with both the service and the food that I got at your Ballito Restaurant on Valentines day evening 14 Feb 2023.
I understand it was very busy but that doesn't justify the long wait that I encountered after being seated at the table.
I was thereafter attended by 3 different waiters one of them being Pinky who was suppose to be my table waiter. The food was burnt and dry (Ribs) and the drinks order was wrong and I was charged for the draughts that I have asked the waiter to cancel and she refused to call the manager for me. My husband got very irritated and said let's just pay and leave our bill was R648.00 I really feel so ripped off and I left the restaurant still hungry but also angry. We ordered Hake and Prawns combo and Ribs and Prawns Combo both with chips and for the drinks it was Sol Bucket and Long Island Ice Tea as well as that Draught that was R13 more than the original draft that we have asked for. I'm never coming back to Mozambik

What an amazing evening. Our meal was near perfect. I can highly recommend snails starters. Our fillets were totally melt-in-your-mouth. As for our server, Thandi...... First class. Awesome evening, and well worth the trip.
