Mo Noodles - Umhlanga

The so called beef sashimi is a small carpaccio with a green iceberg salad drowning in vinaigrette. What makes it oriental I guess was the sprinkle of raw sesame seeds, The seared calamari with chilli and lime was a mush of fried calamari with a lemon drizzle, at R130.00 a pop. A side with that costs extra. Throw in a glass off house wine at R50.00 a glass we get a bill for R430. That is 1 starter, 1 main, a coke and glass of wine and you’ve got yourself an overpriced, pretentious and well below average experience. I left my number in the hope the owner/manager would call me the next day so I could give some constructive feedback. The call back was horrific. All I got was, “people love our food, those dishes are our most popular.” He’s interest in what I had to say suited the pretentious theme of the restaurant. We’ll, where do you go from there? Certainly not back!

We literally eat takeaway from Mo's every single Friday night and have realised I have not reviewed this restaurant. Without a shadow of a doubt one of the best eating establishments in Durbs.Whether to eat there or get takeaways the food is consistently fresh and delicious. Great staff too!Highly recommended!

We are regulars at Mo Noodles BALLITO which is always exceptional.On this occasion we popped in to Mo’s Umhlanga ,quite late for a quick meal just before the kitchen closed .Service as always, great although on this occasion there was a slight problem with one of our meals ,once noted it was promptly whipped away and replaced and all was good .We had coffee paid the bill and left .This morning I took my bill out only to realise that we were not charged for the meal even though it had been replaced with a perfectly good plate .At no point did the mishap spoil our meal and at no point did I not expect to pay for the meal so all that is left to say is that as always Mo’s is exceptional.Well done for having such a high business ethic.

The Chilli and Lime calamari is the best. My wife loves to have it with the feta and lentil salad. When the red duck curry is available, it is also excellent.

One word: fantastic!Good for a quick very tasty lunch, seared calamari chilli & lime is a must!Probably good for dinner too, why not....

We were inspired by the review of Mo Noodles Ballito in the Ballito magazine to try this restaurant in the Lifestyle Centre. We decided on lunch & decided to have a combination of 6 starter portions between the two of us (Tracey & me). We had the beef shashimi, chilli calamari & lime, prawn skewers, calamari tentacles & the prawn & fresh fruit salad as well as the lentil & feta salad. As additional sides, we had coconut noodles with a hint of chilli & coriander mash. Sounds like a feast? It was - even though we were offered doggy bags, there was nothing left to take home! It was all so delicious & we will definitely be going back. Thank you for a wonderful lunch

Lovely food and nice atmosphere. Staff very friendly and very reasonable prices. Have eaten there twice now and both times very good.

Found this restaurant through a longtime friend whilst down in Durban for Christmas last year. The recommended Calamari and Lentil salad was to die for! I wish they would open up in Gauteng, I would love to be a regular!
