Mike's Kitchen - Humewood

Went here for dinner on a Friday evening. The service was extremely slow all through the evening and we waited 40 minute for our food to arrive. The fillet was ordered as medium but it was red, bloody and cold in the center. Also the...mushroom sauce we ordered never arrived. When we complained the waitron merely pulled up his shoulders. Three small lamb chops were tough and literally inedible. We ordered this medium rare but they were well done and dry. We could not finish either dish and the whole dinner was a waste of money. We will NEVER go here again. Poor service. Terrible food.More

Really liked the friendly staff here especially the bar staff who very quickly remembered what we drank and at times I think we may have had preferential treatment. There were a lot of English cricket supporters staying at the hotel and unfortunately at times the...bar couldn't cope with the numbers. Queues quickly developed and the beer ran out far too often. At quieter times there were no problems. Food wise there's a good variety on the menu at reasonable prices. The food was well cooked and presented. We don't normally do desserts but my husband particularly liked the Malva pudding. As for me it has to be the Lindt Bon Bon.More

Mike's Kitchen held happy family outing memories....but no longer. The very friendly staff did not make up for the poor quality sirloin steak. The prices are not cheap so a below the grade steak is not called for. However the rainbow over the sea made...for a great view. Farewell Mike.More

Place was busy but an hour and a half for food is pushing it, we thought. You lose your enthusiasm to eat after a while, don't you? Friendly, well-trained staff but a typical franchised steak-hose menu. Food was fine when it arrived, if a little...unexciting. Very poor service , very unhelpful staff and the T Bone that i ordered had a very strange smell and generally the food was of a very low standard , could have been because it was the night of Xmas , but then rather close...the restaurant if you cant keep the standard that Mike's Kitchen is know forMore

Attached to the Garden Court hotel but separate ownership. Buffet was uninspiring and the service dire. Waiter looked like he needed a new job elsewhere.

I had lunch here recently. It is a diner style restaurant. The food was okay. I had the Chicken Burger. The onion rings were cold.

The week of 15 April 2019 I visited Mike's Kitchen for dinner because I was a guest at Kings Beach Garden Court. The food served at Mike's Kitchen was delicious and very tasty, I really enjoyed it. We had breakfast here today, it was so good we went back for dinner! We can highly recommend the Cob Salad, steak sandwich and stir fry chicken. All the food was great and the staff were excellent.
