Masala Indian Restaurant - Benoni

I don't generally like to post negative reviews but this is my third attempt at Masala and the food is not great. The service is fine, ambiance is not great but it is in a shopping Centre, however the key problem for me is the food does not meet expectations. There are many better options in the area for authentic Indian meals that taste great

Was passing through area and had wanted to visit for white, Tikka chicken was tender and delicious, good service, generous portions

Great food overall, very consistent and they deliver for convenience. Will recommend for anyone who enjoys a good indian dish

We go to Masala at least once a month and have tried every lamb and chicken dish on the menu. Everything is really tasty, but the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken is the yummiest of them all. They also do amazing fresh naan bread straight from the tandoor, it is a must with every meal. Service is good and they are reasonably priced.

This hidden place is a must visit Its a pity that it is so poorly attended the food is good and great value for moneyThe staff however is hit and miss. I have been to this place twice and had two different experiences. The male waiters good efficient and friendly however the females are not good. The indian breads good but the naan also not consistent quality. The roti was tough and chewy.Its a pity patrons from further then the locals will not find this place easily

We decided to treat friends to a traditional Indian meal as we all were born and grew up in Durban. The menu does contain most of the favorite Indian dishes. There is also a 3 course lunch menu certain days of the week. We settled on the lamb and chicken biryani. The portions were quite large and contained all the spices we looked for. The quantity of meat was rather small but very succulent.The service was reasonable although the waiter did not really understand the menu and dishes. The complimentary Roti with freshly prepared chutney was excellent.We decided to return to test the rest of the items on the menu at a later stage.
