Mama Mexicana

Mama Mexicana is still the best Mexican restaurant in Joburg in my opinion. The restaurant is intimate and welcoming and the staff is always friendly, especially the owner who you can see really puts his heart and soul into the place. We had chilli poppers for starters and they are some of the best I've had. The batter was nice and crisp and it was just the right amount of cheesy and spicy.
The enchiladas have always been my favourite here so this time I decided to try the Stacked Enchilada with chicken and peanut sauce. The sauce was delicious and worked so well, the chicken was cooked perfectly and was full of flavour, and it was just the right amount of cheesyness. Still my favourite and I would definitely recommend the enchiladas.
