One of the best kept secrets in Durban. Great buffet with lots of choice. Curries, carvery, stir fry station, deserts. All to great quality. The curries are to die for. Amazing. Good service as well, with reasonable pricing.

Went for birthday dinner with family and friends. This place never disappoints. Really tasty and wide variety of dishes to choose from.. grills, curries, Chinese, roasts etc

The restaurant is exactly as it looks on the pics. Friday evening buffet was excellent, we had everything we needed, I wish they could increase the variery of their selective meat and have a 3 types of game meats. In overall the restaurant is excellent

During the INDABA in Durban, I always have a traditional dinner with my partners.By popular choice be decided to make a reservation at the Lingela Restaurant.As we were six we have made a reservation in advance.A very friendly supervisor showed us to our table and explained how the buffet works.It was definitely a very nice buffet with a massive spread and selection of food items.You had very thing you could think and imagine was available.The food was excellent and very tasty.We all had a great evening.Suggest you go on a empty stomach in case you want to enjoy all the goodies.Worthwhile a visit whenever they have a buffet dinner.Looking forward to our the next INDABA.Thanks to all the wonderful staff members.Warm regards,Randolph Perera

We are not fans of buffet meals but we are glad we tried the food at Lingela. We really appreciate fresh seafood and Lingela offers delicious prawns, calamari steaks and fish. The Indian dishes on offer were on point, tasty and beautifully spiced, served with all the accompaniments. The stir fry section seemed quite popular. I am very ambivalent about the grilled food. All the meats are cooked on the same grill. This is problematic if you don’t eat pork or beef. Dessert is very underwhelming. I found most dishes were some sort of mousse. I did try an eclair which I did not enjoy. Ice creams were very artificial tasting.Unfortunately the cheeses were a little dry and very limited. While the buffet does offer some superlative dishes, some were quite mediocre. With rising food costs, Lingela is still value for money.

Oh my word, I don't usually like buffets, but this place is something else. Everything from starters to grills, to stir fry to curries and roasts and desserts. There are not enough words to express just how good these people are. The chefs and waitering staff are hands on deck and serve with a smile. Professional, clean, good quality of food. Everything was WOW. I will go again, in fact, I cannot wait to go again. I highly recommend this place.

The food served was fresh and delicious. The buffet had a variety of dishes. Guest were cramped in the restaurant and we could not move freely to access buffet. Service was good.

This buffet was amazing what a spread of food. The desserts were also good. The grills were good but as I have spoken to the chef not to use too much of sauce because it kills the actual taste of the prawns or calamari . These were calamari steaks and they tend to be a bit hard .I think the size should be a bit smaller . The curry was okay nothing to rave about. the roast lamb was soft and tender as well as the chicken. I liked the desserts because they had what I liked. The chefs were very friendly in assisting us. We had lots of the chats with the staff. My assumption is the spread was huge that why it was very steep. I did enjoy the evening as I was leaving the next day to Johannesburg.
