La Rosa Blu Café

We were very disappointed yesterday. We arrived at the restaurant just before 2pm yesterday (Sunday 25 July). There were lots of open tables and we waited to be seated. When the waitress arrived, she told us that the kitchen was closed??? Really....at 2 on a Sunday. Surely a Sunday afternoon is your busiest time and in these difficult times for restaurants one would think that you'd grab any business that you can get.We weren't even offered tea or coffee. Surely there had to be something for us to eat and/or drink. Please don't complain if you have to shut down........

GORGEOUS PLACE BUT Never ever waited so long for food.....Really a fantastic place but you can not wait that long for food.

I visited again with some friends, and as usual, what an incredible experience! Apart from the decadent meals, gracious hospitality and friendly staff, the tranquil setting and stunning views make for a relaxing and pleasurable day out with friends! I am so glad to see that they are open again and in full swing, I will definitely be back!

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy a place of excellent quality. I visited this restaurant with my family, and I was absolutely amazed with the service, quality of meals and the staff's attention to detail making sure we're helped and enjoying the meals but not hovering by the table.

What a horrible experience. My sister brought the family to this seemingly idyllic cafe and we were all so excited. On arrival, we had to search for a waiter in order to be seated. Following this, things just went downhill. We ordered our food and drinks just after 1pm and waited more than an hour, without any food in sight. Other customers, who arrived half an hour after we ordered, received their food before us. After the struggle of speaking to the waitress and manager, we found out that at after 2pm, our food was not even made yet. Adding to this, the waitress and manager were very unfriendly and seemingly hostile towards us. Won’t be recommending this and wouldn’t ever wish an experience like this upon anyone. I honestly wish I could give a 0 star review.

Exceptional Cafe the food was really excellent and very well presented the service also very efficient. The Restaurant decor makes you feel welcome and is comfortable we will certainly soon be back and thanks for a great Lunch

It took a hard stop, not to pass this oasis on the way to Oudtshoorn. The serene environment, flowery scents, combined with very friendly staff made for an enjoyable coffee break on the Garden Route. Thanks a lot for your hospitality!

The food was good and tasty. Service was friendly but maybe we caught them at a bad time (just after 1.30 p.m. on a public holiday) as we only received one knife amongst the two of us to eat our food with. We ordered the hamburgers. I enjoyed the "skinny" one and my husband had the fig & blue cheese which he said was good but he had to be satisfied with a "skinny" as well because they were out of bread buns. When asked for cutlery, we then received a knife and fork and so we had to ask again for another fork......something to laugh about??

We had a good breakfast. Service was slow and the music a little intrusive at 10h00 in the morning, but it was enjoyable and will probably go again.

A special place to visit. An awesome setting just over the Mountain from George. A Tranquil , countryside venue with amazing views and really good Food !
