La Pineta - Stellenbosch

We had a birthday lunch over the weekend and were absolutely impressed with the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Every single one was ready to help and serve. Well done!!!The vibe was great and the food was delicious. A great spot well worth a visit

I love this place. Good food, good setting, nice play area for the kids. They love the squirrels. Staff well trained.

Eight of us visited for lunch, and I was a bit worried when I saw how big the restaurant was, and how busy, but I had no reason to be concerned. The service was excellent, really friendly, responsive and quick. There was a small error with one dish but the replacement arrived with such speed, it was amazing. Generous portions and reasonable prices made this a good choice.

We popped in for lunch on Friday and was blown away by the quality, freshness, taste and perfection in prep and presentation! My fillet bearnaisse was perfectly done and if you take yours with chips, I would really recommend the xtra veg! My husband had the Yellowtail with chips and salad. Everything was wonderful! I can recommend this stop on the R44, meal with a view, beautiful setting, tasteful decor, upmarket ambiance at reasonable prices. Well Done, Rebecca!!

We have visited La Pineta twice recently. The menu is good, the waiters and welcome staff are excellent, bathrooms are always clean, the view is just perfect at sunset. The food portions are quite large. Oh, and the mojito's, even the virgin mojito (lockdown!) is excellent!La Pineta is definitely worth a visit, especially if you like good food, good views, a large playground for kids (it's not noisy close to the restaurant), and good service.

Lovely restaurant. Food portions are huge indeed)) The steak and the ox tails were nice&tasty and big portion, good for men. My salad meal was also really big, just slightly not fresh veggies which is a bit important in salad meal (:, but still ok. Coffee is good, service is beautiful. They have amazing closed kids playground. Recomend for family with kids absolutely!

Excellent service , good food, nice ambience. I understand that venues need to make a profit on the sale of wine but the mark up of over 150 % on Kleine Zalze wine is a bit much.

A tad bit out of the city, but the scenic drive to La Pineta was worth it. La Pineta means the pine-tree in Italian and most of the shaded property is covered with stone pines. Loved the fact that we could sit down and have a clear view of our kids at the play park. The play park consists of a sandpit with a lovely bench for parents to supervise the little ones, a jungle gym for toddlers and larger equipment for up to preteens. The vast Italian menu has a wide variety of dishes and I highly recommend the jalopeno wrapped in bacon and crust as a starter. I chose the The lamb shank and the meat literally fell off the bone. The extra friendly staff catered professionally to our every needs. The restroom was exceptionally clean and smelled of lavender. I had a choice to cream my hands after washing and the toilet cubicle had extra toilet paper on hand.

Once again we ate at La Pineta, this time on a Sunday lunch time. The restaurant was full, to the point of having to turn people away (unless they were prepared to wait). Despite the fact that they were serving literally hundreds of patrons, the service was quick and the food excellent. How they manage to achieve this, when so many other smaller restaurants manage to mess things up, is a reflection of really good management.There were lots of families there, with children spending time outside at the playground facilities. It was noisy, as to be expected, but acceptable for such a large restaurant. But best of all, it is consistently good, never letting us down.
