love it here and love the vibe on a Thursday night for a good old fashioned party! make you you get there before a long weekend or wanting a good night out

The music was good however I can’t give this place a good rating because of the following 3 reasons. Firstly, I went up to DJ box to commend him on his choice of music. I am a 1.60m, 55kg, 43 year old woman! he could’nt see nor hear me so I stepped onto the stair to tell him I liked the music. Before I could even speak he shoved me off the step. I have never been physically assaulted ever! Let alone by a DJ!!! What threat could I possible have been that warranted this type of brute behavior! Secondly, my husband was pickpocketed while on the dance floor. The bouncer was so busy intimately stroking another patron and disinterested in my complaint. When I complained to the manager, he nonchalantly confirmed that pick pocketing is rife at this club. Seriously? And you don’t do anything about it?? Thirdly, I took the time to send an email to management to formally lay a complaint against the DJ for manhandling me. With gender based violence being so topical at the moment, I would’ve expected an immediate reply and apology. Still nothing. Interesting to see from other reviews here that management do not reply! Well those are 3 reasons enough for me to never ever return to this boorish place.

I chose Katzy's for my birthday celebration and it was a good time. The band was playing amazing music and the food was good (note it's the same menu from grillhouse). Had a lovely birthday at this jazzy club/restaurant.

Interesting to note that the management do not respond to any comments on here.If, by any chance, a manager is reading this then why do you allow smoking?20% of the customers here smoke which means 80% don’t and hate it. The music, staff, prices and venue are great but please kick the smokers out!

Was surprised to See that a Fine Establishment like Katzys was still operating as i have heard so not to good stories of late.But rumors are Rumors well let me get to the point.Prices Value thats what u get.Vibe Mature n Ellegant.Setting Upscale.

I was hoping to visit Katzys from the UK and enquired about booking a table as we were only one night in JHB. It's now been nearly 3 weeks and still no response to my email to advise anything. I feel this is very unprofessional and will not recommend this venue to any tourists.

Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and gorgeous food! The live music and/or bands every night during the week was a pleasant surprise!

set menu with three choices for starters / mains / dessert .. the fact that everyone at the table ordered everything from horseradish, mustard, hot sauce and ketchup for their main meal .. says something... Overall service ok.. venue excellent. food.. well maybe the restaurant next door (that owns Katzys Rosebank) does it better if you had your own private table..

Atmosphere makes you feel relax, happy-go-lucky and peaceful. Waiters are needful to you . I had very congenial time with an delightful vibes and my vegetarian dinner was what expected. I’ll be back regularly with my friends.
