KCC - La Vie en Rose

We went to La Vie en Rose for Sunday lunch for a friends birthday. What a lovely restaurant! Food was good and service excellent. The best part was definitely the setting and ambience. Nothing beats a Sunday lunch outside in the shade of a majestic Oak tree. This hidden gem is a fantastic restaurant in Johannesburg.

We had a family lunch on Sunday. The weather was cold but we chose to sit outside. Atmosphere was really lovely, busy with most of the tables full. Shereiel was our waitress and was so attentive, friendly and helpful. Really good service and menu has a great selection.

First time going there today and I was pleasantly surprised. What a Lovely place and impeccable service thanks to our waiter name Wisdom, would like to advise though that maybe they could update their menu and have more seafood options as there is only fish on the menu. Maybe prawns, calamari etc...but otherwise would definitely recommend this place

It's our second time at La Vie en Rose. We did not make a booking and took a chance. The restaurant was packed. But they made a plan for us and we were seated inside overlooking the beautiful garden. Everyone was very friendly and well trained to ensure that your visit was memorable.The atmosphere was vibrant. The restaurant is very efficient and good for groups. We started with some delicious Cappuccinos. Most of the group ordered the Sassy. It was two Sumptuous Chicken breasts,cooked to perfection. Glazed with Balsamic reduction and served with oven roasted vegetables. Some had the Crowd Pleaser Wrap.The filling was succulent Rump strips with roasted tomatoes, fresh rocket, caramelised onions and a delicious homemade fig glase. The portions were very generous and excellent plated. The restrooms were very clean. Great experience and highly recommended.

We just had breakfast and once again we were not disappointed at the excellent food in a wonderful garden setting with great service. La Vie en Rose has a great consistency of excellent food and service that makes you want to return as soon as possible.

Six of us for a Saturday brunch, 4 adults, 2 children. Spoilt for choice. We were not disappointed.The food was scrumptious as always. This was not the first time we had eaten here. The indoor restaurant where were dining had a handful of diners.The music was pumping. We struggled to have a conversation. We requested throughout the meal from various waitrons to please turn the music down.They continually told us they had made this request,The music never subsided. It was stressful and uncomfortable for all. We were all thoroughly annoyed and for this reason we will not be going back unless to sit outside now that Spring is here.

The staff and hosts are absolutely amazing. This is all complimented by the great menu and serene venue.

This place makes Toberlone Milkshake, which is delicious. Also had the pecan but square which was a decent size. Will definitely return to try the rest. Overall waiters are down to earth and good customer service all round.

Reliable as you know what you are going to get - great service and good food in a pretty setting. Love that you can actually have a conversation in this restaurant - tables perfectly spaced and not noisy. Lovely to sit outside even in the evenings. Fabulous venue for a private function!

I often take my elderly mom to this lovely spot. The staff are so caring and compassionate. They help her in and out, and shower her with love. The food is always superb.
