Jake's on the Common - Noordhoek

We were told that Jakes is good. But it takes one bad waiter to give a bad impression, bad service, the waiter leaned over everyone instead of walking around table. The waiter moved our masks with his hands to put drink glasses down. During COVID that should be a red flag! We disposed of those masks. The waiter was reminded three times of table 11 our table by his colleague, we over heard this. The experience was now no more enjoyable. The food we are was chosen from the light meals, for R650 I expected more and better. We are foodies so we know prices and good food. Won’t be back

Found this gem of a restaurant in a forestry neighborhood in Noordhoek. Classy ambiance , great food and service.

Last minute dinner and found yummy dim sum and pasta. Fabulous family vibe where clearly the locals meet to catch up with the kids of all ages. Definitely recommended if you are visiting the area. We even had a local pup come along with mom and dad.

The food was great - very tasty. Although, the quantity does not justify the price. Unfortunately Jakes is still servicing from a watered down "covid-menu" and most of its signature dishes are not available. What about a spiced-up menu to get more feet through the front door?? I simply can't understand how restaurants survived on a scaled down menu but Jakes were open and three tables were occupied. Service was great although both waiters that served as were "absentminded". Surely something distracted them from focusing on their work.Lovely restaurant but nothing for the kids to keep the occupied while the food is prepared.

My boyfriend and I went to Jake's in Noordhoek on Friday night with friends and will definitely be coming back! The staff were so friendly and so attentive throughout the entire evening. And big thanks to Terry the manager for helping to find my ring and for getting back to me so quickly!

What a great find tucked away in a peaceful setting! The food was really tasty with generous portions and good value for money. Decor was modern and comfortable creating a relaxed atmosphere and the service was good. Will definitely be back when in the area again.

We went for dinner at this lovely restaurant, not expecting much but what a pleasant surprise. The decor is on point, the food is absolutely excellent, value for money and really delicious. We will definitely be back, in fact this may become our go to restaurant. If you are looking for a really good meal you won't be disappointed.

The staff went out of their way to make my dad’s 84th birthday celebration so very special He had been gravely ill and this was a momentous occasion. Huge thanks to the manager, Robert, our server, Sam and all the team for making this such a lovely day. Food was delicious too!Huge thanks!

This is by far one of the best restaurants to go to on a chilly evening.. its got the ambiance, the fire place and the gorgeous food to keep your bell warm. The waiters are always so very friendly and the place is so very charming.. your heart will certainly be warmed up by the time you leave.Will have to try it out in the summer as it is well kitted out for the warm weather too..
