Jack Salmon

The food at Jack Salmon is excellent and the views exceptional.

I highly recommend the fresh mussels in a white wine, garlic and chilli sauce. Served with toasted ciabatta that you simply have to dunk into the sauce to get at every last bit of it. The waitress recommended the alternative – the same fresh mussels served in a creamy sauce – but I’ll probably just order the same again next time because it’s that good.

The grilled tuna also looks worth a try. Served seared and perfectly rare, it was also a very generous portion.

I spied a sushi platter being delivered to a nearby table. It looked very appealing and I’ll be back to try it soon, since my favourite sushi place closed late last year.

The atmosphere is relaxed and the food delicious. But not everything is in the indulgent category; you can also get fish and chips, fish and calamari combo and milkshakes. But be warned: this is very much a fish restaurant and the non-fish options are limited to two vegetarian pasta dishes.
