Henri’s Restaurant and Wine Bar

Lovely atmosphere, super staff and amazing food! This is our second visit and we will be going there again soon.

It has been a number of years since I last dined at Henri’s in Somerset West, and I was delighted to find that despite the Covid-19 pandemic challenges, Henri’s have maintained their high standards. Both the food and the service was outstanding.My crispy Patagonian calamari starter was very tasty, and our slow roasted pork belly mains were delicious. For dessert, I simply had to try their homemade waffle topped with vanilla ice-cream, toasted pecans and a rum butterscotch sauce – I was not disappointed!My wife and I will be back as soon as Covid-19 regulations permit!

The food was excellent. Service was friendly and unhurried. Good choice of items on the menu. You get value for your money.

Pierre and Marcel continue to excel. My last review 3 years ago remains valid. This time we had an outstanding breakfast not just the food but all round. We were a late booking which was very well handled and 6 of us had an exclusive large niche with window allowing for COVID free inside eating (normally I will only eat outside). Service was impeccable unobtrusively managed by the owners. The food - two eggs benedict pronounced as almost perfect by the restaurateur in our midst ; two full breakfasts which offered more than the menu and two others - all 5*.

Been going to this restaurant for 10 years now but its on the verge of becoming too expensive for us locals. Take your own wine and save a bomb.

Great food and excellent service. Can recommend the lamb's neck and pork ribs were great. Our waiter was friendly and helpful.

We had the most spectacular dinner for two. We shared a bottle of divine white wine and over ate on the most spectacular dinner! The waiter was well informed and very friendly.

Thee most horribly disappointing rubbery mussels i have ever eaten. Moules Marniere is a classic dish with cream, garlic and parsley. This dish was missing all three!! Milky watery broth.. creamy NOT. No parsley in sight and no garlic. It was horribly disappointing. And when i complained to manager.... he got acutely defensive, defending this poorly executed rendition of a classic dish. Just horrible. Waitress was excellent, setting is amazing. Food can be good sometimes and horrible at other times. Its really hit an miss. So if you want tasteless unflavored, watery mussels and a manager who has an inability to hear clients concerns, this is the place for you. They did not charge me for this disappointing dish but honestly is ruined my evening and i was embarrassed to take out if town guests there for poor food. I would rather have paid double and received the dish as billed in menu. Local, eat out all the time, will never go back! There are better options out there with more skilled management.

A wonderful dining venue that has become a regular on our date nights, we've experienced most of the menu items that keep us coming back.Not to be missed if you're in the Somerset West area, we look forward to our next meal!

We visited Henri's to try out their new brunch menu. As is typical of Henri's, the service was excellent, food was very good, promptly served and very tasty. We were disappointed that there was limited choice of dishes on the menu. Omelettes were conspicuous by their absence!
