Good company. Great service. Even better Food. Winter special menu is very well priced and the portions bigger than what you would expect from a 5star Hotel. We will be sure to visit again.

From the pumpkin soup to the beef fillet was devine. The sago and quavas was the topping. Definitely will be back to try the other dishes. An experience to remember.

Dinner at Helenas was a highlight in my Stellenbosch trip. I had the risotto as a starter and rack of lamb as a main . It is some of the best food I’ve ever eaten . The dessert was incredible, I had baked cheesecake. Another thing I really noticed was their fantastic wine list , if you enjoy a good wine you will find it here . The waiters were so professional and always there when you need . I can’t wait to go back .

The Lamb Shank special, R175 and a glass of Shiraz included! Say no more! Why second guess dinner here? it is such a lovely place!

My fiancé and I had dinner at Helena's restaurant, I had a delicious risotto starter and followed that up with the most tender deboned lamb neck I have ever had. They have an incredible wine list as they are situated in the middle of South Africas biggest wine region. I went with one of the local favourites whereafter I finished my meal with one of South Africas best known deserts, the Malva pudding. It's safe to say that I would recommend Helena's restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

My 1st experience at Helena's will definitely not be my last! Tutu my waiter was warm, friendly, Ultra Hospitable & shared the history of the establishment, which for someone in Tourism, was really very interesting. I was lured to the restaurant via a Facebook ad as to the "Shank & Shiraz" special, well it was delightful, flavorsome, optimally prepared with the right accompaniments of long stemmed baby broccoli & silky smooth mash with just enough gravy to round things off. The Shiraz was Neil Ellis & pared brilliantly with the Shank. Moses the MOD was also very friendly & came to check up on me. Very Impressive Wine List of local Stellenbosch wines. I can highly recommend this dining experience.

We decided to eat at Helena's as we were staying at the Coopmanshuis Hotel.Was really temted to have theur winter special of a lamb Shank and A glass of Red wine at R179, which is amazing value if you consider that a glass of the Shiraz is R95!!!!. Also looked at their winter set course options which looked great . We decided on a fresh green salad as a starter which was delightfully fresh and crunchy and the salad dressing perfectly complemented. Asked for some extra feta.., no problem!In the end closed the menu and asked the waiter (who has been working there for years) for his recomendation of the meal which his patrons are most satisfied with.He recomended the rack of lamb cooked "medium". The meal did not dissapoint the meal was cooked to erfection and once again the sauce enhanced the dish. tried to eat as slowly as possible together with some delightful Neil Ellis 2018 Shiraz (also recomended by server)My wife had the mushroom rissotto which was also perfectly cooked and flavoured.We shared a Malva Pudding which came with a delightful Creme Anglaise and what appeared to be home made ice Cream. We will definitely be back to Helena's!!!

We initially chose to have dinner at Helena's simply because we were staying at the hotel but I must say the food was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Due to the pandemic the restaurant was pretty empty with only one other large table in the other section of the dinning area but the staff interactions turned what could have been a deserted experience into a wonderful warm and caring experience.Their homemade bread was delicious. We had a salad to start which they custom made for us as I didn't want the chefs salad of the day. I had mushroom risotto and my husband had the rack of lamb which he said was really excellent.We really enjoyed our experience thank you very much to the team. Service excellence and true hospitality

Thank you to the Helena's Restaurant staff for their exceptional service. The venue was the perfect place for an intimate yet cozy environment for our Bridal shower.

It was lovely to return again. The venue was perfect. We as a family enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to the waiters, Helena's Restaurant serves the best cuppaccino in town.
