I would highly recommend this restaurant in the Seapoint area. Had a fabulous Lunch with friends. Service excellence, food and cocktails. Our amazing waiter was Brenton Solomons.

Sushi and Bubbly on the Beachfront was just what was needed after an intense work week and schedule. The service from our friendly waiter, Cedric was excellent and the meal lived up to my expectation but what was especially, pleasing to my palate was the perpetual, welcoming atmosphere that captivates me for a definite return to Five Star Quality service at its best.

We just spent a family holiday in Cape town. we visited the Grand Pavilion twice for lunch that never ended! we were served and looked after by the best waiter , Mandla. he went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing experience, his customer service exceeded our expectations!!! the second time we visited the restaurant we specifically requested to b served by him. should you find yourself at the Grand Pavilion, please ask for Mandla and enjoy the exceptional service. I wouldn't be doing justice if I dont mention Ariel on this review, the most awesome hostess this place has, she trusted us with her personal cell phone number for when we come back. On our second time, we contacted her direct, she reserved the best table in the house for us, they were extremely full but she made sure we had the best table in the house, she made time to check on us with the biggest smile on her face, she is truly a gem!!! every establishment needs the caliber of people like Ariel and Mandla to succeed, I hope when we visit Cape Town again we will find Ariel and Mandla at the Grand Pavilion :-) Busi, Durban SA.

I’m a local and watched the development of this site. Was a very mediocre Chinese place and now it’s a, well, what is it? The prices are acceptable, not outrageous, and there is a small variety on the menu. Frittata mista was tasty but oily but the mussels were delicious. Mains were prawns (too much liquid on the plate) but at least firm and fresh (?) and the calamari was just boring. No bread on the table - no fingers bowls with a slice of lemon. Would’ve been useful. Service is slow and inexperienced. Guys didn’t know their stuff. Training is seriously needed. And, finally, it’s very loud. People enjoying the vibe with little thought of others. Maybe it’s the sea point way...

This new restaurant is without a doubt the best Cape Town has to offer. Fantastic, friendly and personalised service from all their well trained staff. Starting with a warm greeting by the hostesses to the knowledgable waiters dedicated to efficient service ending with the hands-on managers who came to the table to ensure we enjoyed our meal and were taken care of. The restaurant itself is beautiful with lots of natural light, an ocean view and a prime location in Sea Point, right on the promenade. The food served and atmosphere created are also something to write home about. I suggest booking well in advance as we struggled to get a table, but thanks to Blaine, the General Manager who went out of his way to accommodate us. A big thank you to the Grand Pavilion team for a fantastic experience, looking forward to my next visit when I'm back in Cape Town.

We arrived a little before lunch time without a booking and literally had one hour as we had a flight to catch back to jhb. Our waiter was a gentleman by the name of Brenton ... he was really fantastic and efficient and was knowledgeable about the menu, ensured we had a beautiful lunch without feeling rushed! The chocolate tarte was also a highlight! Will definitely be back on our next trip!

Four of us recently visited the Grand Pavilion and were absolutely blown away. The attention to detail was incredible. The food was five star and the bar at the back provided entertainment all night. We will be returning for more revelry soon!

Absolutely exquisite interiors , with a bonus added to the back called Harry's Bar for fine dining .Staff top notch Karoo rack of Lamb incredible and the best Ceasar Salad i have ever had .Brilliant views and again BONUS Dog Friendly. SEAPOINT needed this , way overdue and a greeeaaat ambience. Well done
