As a regular traveler who enjoys eating out regularly, The standard African food is truly special and delicious. The restaurant is decorated in African styled fixtures, warm and pleasant. This is also our first-time at an African restaurant. This is an experience you need to have at least once and then preferably in a sizable group of at least 4 members. What a fantastic experience and excellent service. I would highly recommend the Gold Restaurant for what its known for.

A fantastic evening! Great food, a tasting menu that highlights the great food from all over the continent. I particularly loved the street food appetizers. Then there is the entertainment, dancing and singing done by a sensational ensemble from Mali. Great evening, and quite reasonable.

From the warm welcome, to the service, to the drumming session, to the food! This place melted my heart in so many ways! I got to explore Africa in a dining experience fit for a Queen!!! It was an experience I will NEVER forget, and will most DEFINITELY be back for more! Thanks to the great Management and Staff at Gold Restaurant for an unbelievably unforgettable experience!

I went to this restaurant as part of a dinner. Every dish I sampled that night was from a different African country and each was very good. Also the musical and dance production was unforgettable. The customer service was great and friendly. I highly recommend this spot if you’re visiting.

What an amazing, delightful evening we had. The staff went out of their way to make sure that our dietary needs were met. The drumming was great fun. The food was delicious and plentiful. The dancers were delightful. A wonderful experience.

I went here for my 17th birthday and enjoyed it thoroughly the experience was the most special part for me even though i went here a while ago now i still remember it like it was yesterday.It might not be great for people that have boring taste in food but if you appreciate different things i recommend going here. I see people complaining about the price but i'm not sure how much they expected it to be.Hope i can go back soon.

Their service, their food (their flavors. My God) and live music made me feel at home again, I spent one of the happiest nights of my life with my partner. Wonderful South African Food and Drumming Experience. The food was amazing, fixed menu to sample all the various dishes. The staff were great and entertainment great. It was very nice to see the dancers come up to the balcony level rather than just staying on the downstairs stage. Would definitely recommend this experience.The Drumming Lesson was lots of fun.

Amazing meal with 15 different kinds of food served during dinner in a fixed menu with a sample of flavours of several countries of África. During dinner they present music and dance, so It is really fun! Prepare to eat a lot and have a lot of fun in your evening. We paid for dinner for two with a bottle of wine and tips 1000 rands. Totally worth it!

This was our first meal in the Cape and so glad we made the reservation! Everything can be made vegetarian and the wine was delicious. The music and dancing was an added plus. The meal was so filling and such a reasonable value. Would recommend to anyone going to Cape Town
