Doppio Zero - Rosebank

Terrible terrible service I had today from them them. I ordered a caffe latte with hazelnut syrup which didn’t taste like it at all and glass was smelling bad, ( I have ordered previously so I know exact taste hence came in today to have one again) and ordered a passion pavlova which was extremely hard to break or eat, and also smelled like egg. We literally had 2 sips of the latte and 2 bites of the pavlova and asked the waitress to take it back, explain why and also asked her to bring our bill. She said I’ll call the manager and have it sorted I am sorry. We waited for about 20mins and no one came back, we did see the waitress point at us when she was speaking to the manager and the did look at us, yet no response. We asked another waiter to bring us the bill, he asked what was wrong, we explained he said Im sorry, I’ll speak to to them and sort it. Waited another 10mins, then our waitress comes back with the bill and takes payment with no apology nothing at all. So disappointing as we didn’t ask for a refund or replacement but we literally paid for NOTHING but terrible service and dessert, no any kind of courtesy to Atleast apologize or look into the matter. The manager didn’t even bother to speak to us or the waitress. We walked out paying and Unhappy but sure never to come back to such place. **the picture below is how we returned the food.

In Jo'Burg on business, choose this restaurant as it was almost adjacent to the Hyatt Hotel, just a short walk all under cover. Food was good, service also, but not I would say is outstanding when compared to the local competition. It appears to close early midweek at least, say around 9pm.

I went there for a business meeting.The food was great, we both had burgers and they were fresh, and tasty. Coffee excellent.Vibe-trendy and fun.Service -could be better. Still a great place.

Food is filling and tasty. Decent ambiance. Room for improvement in terms of service and the menu doesn't make sense.

went to Doppio zero Rosebank 30 Jan 20. Ordered Ribs as a takeaway, when we got home I was horrified. They were dry, full of fat, burnt and looked really old. Couldn't even cut through them with a knife. By far the worst ribs I have ever tasted. That they would serve people this food is very very disappointing. (tried to upload a pic but the one I took is bigger than 5mb). I have it for management should they wish to see it.

Just arrived in Johannesburg from England to meet friends for lunch. Recommended to this restaurant for 6 of us. Service very slow. I ordered a burger which arrived stone cold with barely cooked chips. - sent back and it was returned 15 minutes later not much better. The rest ordered salads obviously a better bet.

We have visited Doppio Zero Rosebank twice in recent weeks and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The food and service were both very good. My mother in law is gluten intolerant and our waiter made sure she got the right food. It is lovely to sit in the Firs courtyard and eat.

Good food and drinks,As a group of four we enjoyed various steaks, the cocktails were amazing. The Cosmopolitan was “well balanced”. Gin Iced Tea was ok not too bad and the Long Island never disappoint. The service from Collen was amazing very friendly waiter he checked on us frequently. On the steaks there were so tender we used the normal knifes . We recommend it to everyone

We went as a group to Doppio Zero as a year end breakfast. The service was abysmal it took over an hour before we could order eventually I left without food my food arriving after being at the venue for 3 hours. Luckily the company was good but management non existent.....

We had a breakfast reunion for 26 people. We all ordered from the a la carte menu. The food was served together - no mean feat for 26 different orders. Comments from everyone was that the food was good and it was hot. Lee,our waitress, was excellent and she got all the orders right. When it came to pay she patiently worked out seperate bills for us. Service with a smile. Thanks Doppio Zero for another wonderful experience.
