Doppio Zero - Blue Hills

While we are plagued with load shedding, it is such a pleasure to know that Doppio Zero Blue Hills always has power. My takeaway was ready so speedily. I ordered a large spinach and feta pizza which was so delicious. Beef ribs and chips for my husband, the basting sauce was to die for. The service was great as always. A brilliant spot indeed!

My family and I decided to go check out Doppio on Sunday.The restaurant was fairly empty and the service was good.I tried the breakfast taco, which was essentially a roti filled with breakfast goodies, topped with an egg.

Teriyaki salmon on a bed of Black rice, baby marrows and a poached egg on the side. Wonderful Sunday lunch, for there is no rest for the wicked.

I go there for a quick supper either take away or sit in. Breakfast is very delicious and ambiance is so perfect for catching up with a friend or just to catch up on work.

This eatery is in our Top 5 of frequently visited restaurants. We love the diversity of their menu - from fresh starters to well-prepared pizzas, down-right-to-good tapas, tasty grills and scintillating stir-fries.Our favourite pizza is Pollo.Food is freshly prepared and cleanliness is top notch.

Went with my friend in January 2019 to have breakfast. I must say the food was fresh and so delicious. Portions are really big. I had the Doppio Zero breakfast. It is worth every cent. I love that place, more for breakfast and brunches.PS. They also have amazing PIZZAs.

I ordered slow cooked beef.I had thought that this would produce a tender, succulent dish but it was just the opposite. Dry and hard.Mash a tad boring ~ maybe garlic mash or a better refined puree of potato?Beer ~ but not a wide choice.Asked 3 x if meal was OK ~ better Co ordination folks ~ needed just the once.

As a regular to this restaurant it is disappointing to see it having bad days again. It seems service and food quality are inconsistent at the moment and it would be sad to think that this usually reliable eatery is troubled. The last two visits in 3 weeks have been very disappointing with undercooked pizza - this was a problem earlier in the year which was fixed and the pizzas are usually delicious! Today the service was annoying with the waiter interrupting while we were talking - enthusiastic and friendly waiter but he just needs to learn to wait for a pause and not interrupt or say excuse me. Cold steak, hot chips. Tacos were tasty and the new menu looks good but a shame to see some old favourites disappear - Pollo San Paolo for example. Worst of all though was the cappuccino with milk that had turned sour. The replacement was no better with the milk still on the turn. Shame. Please pay attention to the quality of this usually great local restaurant. Thanks.

Delicious food; menu has vegan options - yay! Our waiter was (Thomas), was efficient and super friendly.
