Nice ice cream. Very friendly staff. I would recommend going there to treat yourself and the family to home made food and deserts

Spent an enjoyable evening celebrating my birthday. Party of 5 placed in a booth near kitchen - bit noisy unfortunately. My Pasta dish was the best I had for some time. Menu has a good variety and reasonably priced.

We have breakfast here every Saturday and Sunday. Staff are happy to prepare the food the way we like it. I crave my weekend breakfasts. Good value for money as well and a good loyalty app

Take a really nice, chilled evening and turn into jumping a railing, chasing down a perpetrator who just stole my friends phone and yes im a girl. That was my experience last night at Doppio Zero Bel Airs Shopping Centre. As we sat down we were advised by the waitress to not leave our phones on the table or our handbags near the railing or on the table... this was all before ordering our drinks. About an hour later, one of the security guards walked passed, asked how we were doing and advised us yet again to be careful about our phones etc as there have been quite a few incidents... Now this is not the first time I have been warned at Doppio - actually everytime I have gone there, I have been warned. You never think it is going to happen to you and then it does. My friend put her phone on the table to light a smoke for a split second and the next minute this guy reaches over the railing, knocks her face, grabs the phone and bolts - how he saw the phone, is beyond me as there was a lot on the table but he must have been watching us for a while, waiting for the perfect moment. I jumped the railing but paused from chasing him as the security guard was coming towards me - I thought he was going to run after the guy but he didnt - he literally walked and the guy go into a car and drove away. If I had known he was not going to chase him - I would have!! They told us afterwards that they dont go for the perps because the guys are armed with guns or knives etc and the security guards have nothing to defend themselves so I understand... this may be something Bel Air's management needs to look at - some sort of protection and booms - list can go on as to how they can up the security at this centre!! Anyway cops came... cops left - security took my details and that was that - our evening was destroyed. We felt so violated. I asked for Pedro's details (owner of the restaurant) but was told that I couldn't have them and left a note for him to phone me but if these incidents have happened before and nothing has been done - put higher railings around the restaurant or perspex glass or something to avoid these robberies, I highly doubt I am going to get a phone call. I will not be going back and advise anyone that does visit this restaurant and centre to try find an alternative until security has been increased at the centre and Doppio!! Absolutely unacceptable!!!!

I always thought this was just a coffee shop but faced with sudden load shedding our family needed a place to eat. We decided to go here because it was convenient and near home. I really enjoyed the fish n chips I ordered. The rest of the party enjoyed their meals too and the portions were big enough bto have take aways. I highly recommend the food although I do find the service always a bit slow though.

The portions are so large that my wife and I share a starter (usually Crumbed Mushrooms) and a main course (usually Fried Hake or Pizza). Freshly baked breads are free. Corkage is R50 so I take my own Vinho Verde. I also have a loyalty card. All this makes for a very reasonably priced meal. All the dishes we have tried are very good, the service is friendly and efficient and the décor pleasant.

Firstly, before I appear too critical, we were a party of nine and we were not in any hurry. However, from the time we sat down to the time we left was two and a half hours. Our main course was brought to us after one and a half hours. The restaurant was not particularly busy on a Wednesday evening. We did have starters before the order for our main course was taken. We were inside and the waiter kindly closed the blind so that we did not get the smell of smoke from the outside smoking area. The dining are is quite large with a high roof. Both the starters- where we had a mixture for the table and the main courses where good. I had lasagne which came with a side salad was very tasty. Even after the long wait, there was too much for me to eat. Due to the time, people had coffees so we did not try the sweets. The wine menu contained some good labels and the the Weiss bier was also a popular choice.

The food was good and the staff were really friendly . The environment at night is excellent .Definitely will be back to try this place out for breakfast .

Never been a big fan of Doppio Zero but been frequenting this specific one.Consistenty is key - friendly service, nice food & creating a perfect atmosphere. Starting to like this !
