I have quite a soft spot for Die Kneipe as I used to be a waitress there in my varsity days, and subsequently spent a lot of time there with friends and awesome regulars. However I hadn't been back there for years, and under new management the pub seems like it's still doing well, and it's even slightly homelier now with the hand painted mural on the wall, super friendly owners and live music acts. It still has a slightly dingy old pub vibe going but that's what adds to the atmosphere. It's not a great place for first dates, but it's definitely great for get togethers with friends and family. My boyfriend ordered the Pork Schnitzel, which used to fall off the plate because it was such a huge portion. I had the Geschnezeltes which had an amazing creamy mushroom sauce, but unfortunately the pork was a bit tough, and it had obviously been standing waiting for a while (the service was was quite slow). We didn't get the apple strudel dessert but from past experience it's definitely a winner
