De Blaauwe Kitchen

What a disappointment the Bistro turned out to be. Our last visit was over two years ago and there was an extensive menu and we had some great food that was enjoyed by the whole party. Unknown to us they have reduced the menu to only 3 items listed on a blackboard or a picnic. A burger with a very tough bun and cold chips and a chicken salad with a few chicken nuggets and some very limp lettuce was provided as our lunch. To add to the ambience, we were attacked by a swarm of bees which the staff indicated happens a lot - but they haven't tried to handle the problem.
So if you want a good wine experience please go to Blaauklippen as the wines are excellent but the food was dreadful. We will not be going again and we will be letting all our friends around SA know what a dreadful experience we had.
