Nico & Naomi and their team always go above and beyond for their customers. Their food is superb, the service is wonderful and the steam-punk decor just adds that "something special" touch. My best place to eat out BY FAR!! Thanks so much for making my recent birthday dinner such a memorable experience.

Great hidden gem in Kensington / Bedfordview. Food is delicious and atmosphere is inviting with a chilled vibe. Waiters are not very friendly and they do no not allow ant substitutes, according to the waiter serving the outside area. Service is swift, food takes some time as it is freshly prepared. Worth the wait though. Great for a coffee with a friend or even on your own.

Booked for a pre-holiday family dinner at our fav Artisan Bistro and as per usual it did not disappoint. The staff and management go above and beyond to give you a 5 star experience and you are always made to feel like familyAll of us ordered their steaks bar one vegan family member, and have posted some pics to whet your appetites. The Mushroom Truffle sauce...almost licked the plate Do yourselves a favour and pay a visit to this establishment......it might just become your fav too!!

Noticed this Bistro two years ago when needing a breakie. Was immediately transported into its olde world charm via the front porch (complete with broekie lace) all the way to the back seating area (through the pub called the "Speakeasy" - a Harley rider's paradise)where there is a wall length, built in, beautifully upholstered bench and book shelves filled with books of every description . They offer a community service - bring one, take one! Turns out, Nico Brandt, is indeed a chef, and not just a business owner. Believe me when I say, the extensive menu and food speaks for itself. It not only caters for everyone, it is sublime. We simply keep going back for more!When next in Johannesburg, put this on your bucket list. You are sure to see us there.....

What a fantastic find! In the heart of "antique land" on Queens Street Kensington is Cut & Craft Artisan Bistro. Great breakfast, unbelievable decor and ambiance and friendly service rounds off a great experience.

Had a wonderful lunch, great food all round and super service, will recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for something a bit different

The Sunday that I was there, they had a blues musician that just made lunch into a feast of the senses. Food is good and afordable, great selection of drinks, good service and an atentive owner. What more can you asl for?
