Awsome place to just chill and have a drink with a great vibe. Did the GIN tasting which was really good also tried their salted pretzel chicken strips and corn dogs, great tapas style to pick at while u drink. Our waitress was a sweetheart and very knowledgeable about the drinks on offer. Def worth a visit if if stellenbosch.

Great vibe, but that is where it ends. The salads are not healthy and fresh but rather filled with deep fried foods. The burgers are a bit dry and not worth all the money you have to rock up.

Situated in what seems a bustling place with lots of activity but it has its niche amongst the other restaurants. This place has a very chilled vibe where you can sit and relax and enjoy the bustle outside. The food is great, I personally had a pizza there which was amazing! They also provide some tasting of which I tried the gin tasting. The waiters are extremely knowledgeable and are able to pair your gin with only the best ingredients, also they do have a lot on tap if that is your thing. All in all good food, great location and amazing service!

I loved the vibe, super service, delicious sliders, and great gin tasting. Great spot for groups, catching up with friends, or just watching people go by!

If you are looking for fine dining do not bother with the Craft Wheat and Hops, this place is unashamedly a beer and burger joint that serves good beer and a well presented medium rare burger in a jovial and noisy environment.It does not matter whether you choose to sit on a stool at a high table overlooking te street or at one of the conventional inside tables the vibe is still the same.I would certainly go back

If you want to do a quick and cheap lunch and nice beer, then this is the place. Feels very European sitting on the pavement and hear all the different cultures. Happy hour from 12 noon. Pizza half price and certain drinks.

Wow from the moment I stepped in this restaurant, everyone was friendly. The gin tasting was great as well as the food we had a few different dishes, the tapas and mains were excellent, lovely flavors !! Thank you so much for your great service!

The craft beer is really good and service is spot on, prices are very cheap compared to UK prices. The food is very good and plentiful, Hey Joe is a fruity craft beer, very good

A great place to go in Stellenbosch. We went on 2 consecutive weekday nights. We called in the first night for drinks and found the place had a real buzz about it. I had the gin tasting board, which was brilliant - 3 craft gins from a list with a mixer for R69. The waiter said if I chose the gins he would select the relevant botanicals for each. He did and they were perfect.We enjoyed it so much that we went the following evening to eat. The food was good and came quickly. Once again I ordered the gin tasting board, determined to try other gins. The waitress didn’t know what botanicals would work but said I could let the barman choose. I got just lime and orange so nothing special. Whereas the previous night I’d had rosemary, blueberries and cinnamon stick. I think I was just lucky with the first waiter.We still enjoyed it though. Good fast service. Nice inexpensive food and a good range of drinks.

We came here regularly in the evening during our latest stay in Stellenbosch. They have a wide range of beers, though by international standards I wouldn't say they are the best (with a couple of exceptions). It's a very friendly place though and right in the middle of the action.
