We stopped for tea and cake, the cheese cake and carrot cake were of the best I have had in a long time

We arrived and requested a table for 5. There were 4 empty tables which were 4 seaters. We asked if we could please put two tables together, we were told NO those tables are reserved. We were sitting at one of the tables waiting. Not once were we offered coffee or refreshments. Other customers came in and were served and received their refreshments. We asked again if we could please join 2 tables, again we were denied. Eventually after about 40 minutes, we got up and left the restaurant and went next door for an excellent meal and delightful service.

This is one of Port Elizabeth's hidden gems. Situated in 6th Avenue Walmer, next to Chingadas. We regularly eat there and their daily R60 specials ranging from chicken schnitzel to pizza and curry are fabulous value for money. They are unfortunately only open until 3 or 4pm depending on the day but their hearty servings are enough to see you through. We strongly recommend trying their food. Their wine is also very reasonably priced.

We arrived and had no problem finding. We where great at the door. Our order was taken and brought to us promptly. Food was outstanding. And great service. When asked for Wi-Fi it was given to us without any problems. Will definitely be back.

Take some time to stop over and visit Cobblestone Bistro and Bakery in the leafy suburb of Walmer and enjoy a superior breakfast or lunch at a budget all can afford. Greeting at the door from the Owner and the welcoming staff is a given. The scent of fresh bakery goodies and coffee aroma is uplifting. The layout is rustic and charming and service is of the highest with the friendly staff on call. Whether it's a breakfast , lunch or just a quick bakery buy you will never be disappointed! If you haven't yet visited Cobblestones , stop over and spoil yourself

This little gem of a Restaurant should NOT be overlooked. They have R50 lunchtime specials from Monday to Friday and the two we have tried have been outstanding! Chicken curry and any pizza on the menu. It appears to be a favourite with locals, but we'll definitely be visiting more!

We had the chicken schnitzel served with salad and cheese sauce, was excellent as the chicken was succulent and fresh salad, best carrot cake eaten and the price was affordable, highly recommended. The only problem experienced is the macaroons, overpowered with filling and left an undesirable after taste, it was priced R55 for 5. I’ve recently eaten variety of macaroons in France, light with minimal filling, it was the best. Overall enjoyed experience at the bakery.

Have has breakfast and lunch here. Never been disappointed. Wonderful owners/manager and friendly staff. Lovely assortment of bakery goods too. Highly recommended

What a lovely lunch spot, in the heart of Walmer. I don’t know why I never thought to visit before, but this is an oversight I will definitely rectify. Breakfast is served until 12, so we were disappointed to miss out. However both myself and my companion decided to try their bagels, for something a little different. It came accompanied by a small serving of potato wedges. It was delicious and huge. Definitely recommended. The pies and quiche looked and smelt divine, as did the carrot cake. I will be back to try them all. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Prices are very reasonable.

Many years ago I visited this place and it was a great disappointment and I vowed never to visit again. Fortunately a friend recommended the place and I decided to visit again. What a great place. We had lunch and the food was very tasty. Despite the fact that the electricity was off they still offered all the menu items including hot drinks. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable especially when asked about sugar in some dishes. Wish all places train waiters to know what ingredients are used because some people are not able to eat everything. I will definitely visit again.
