Catch Of The Day

This place just have no pride in the way they send their food out of the kitchen. Ugly looking food ,no garnish and sauce that is watered down and tastes like nothing.No effort whatsoever put into their meals and plates to make it look more inviting.Just not a nice experience .

With guests from out of town and wanted to have seafood and calamari we thought we will book for 6 people and have a good seafood dinner. 2nd time that we are just so disappointed. It really seems like it is all about money during season time. The calamari and fish combo was so small portion of calamari and there were no difference between the few chips and calamari on the plate. The chips are also no longer fresh potato chips, it is soft soggy frozen chips. The price, however, is not the same any longer and it was just such a disappointment!

Absolutely pathetic service. Raw food. People around us getting the wrong food. Waiter useless. Restaurant not even busy.

Although the food takes long to prepare, the quality is excellent. The salad was crispy fresh and the sushi fantastic.

I have been wanting to come here for years.Food was tasty and nice spot ...... but Overpriced and Expensive.I had 12-prawns (small) and rice. Paid way more than what it was worth.Not a flashy, upmarket restaurant but been around for a while and they are really overcharging for what you receive. A very plain “rustic” restaurant.Will get more value for money at most other restaurants in the area.Would NOT recommend or go back.

What a disaster........... One of the best restaurants in past years and a place we loved to go and enjoy live sports and the vibe. Service were poor and the food was really bad. Fish were mushy and had to send it back and the Sushi my wife had was not up to standard, cannot believe how the place has changed. Left at half time and enjoyed the rest of the game at the Mexican which were really great

We visited Catch of the Day located on Diaz Road overlooking the beach.We ordered sushi and queen prawns.I had the best and freshest sushi I’ve ever had hands down! It was well prepared,super fresh and very dellcious.Then we also had queen prawns with the lemon butter garlic sauce and rice.That meal was bursting with flavour and yet again,their prawns were insanely fresh,as if they had just been brought from the ocean and prepared immediatedly.If you’re looking for tasty and good seafood,then that place is a definite must visit.Our waitress was also extremely lovely and our experience there was all round amazing.

One of our favourite restaurants for lunch or dinner has always been Catch of the day. On our last visit something was not right, the atmosphere, the sushi quality, the service..not as great as always. No management presence walking around with a friendly face as always checking up on guests and meals. Lets hope this was just a “off day” for our beloved restaurant.

Ordered takeaway grilled hake and chips. Not too bad. Pity they put spices on the fish instead of just simply grilling it and allowing customers to add their own spice.

Catch of the day was the restaurants of choice for our dinner. Upon arrival we where greeted friendly and shown to our table which we did not reserve as they can get full fast. The fire was burning and the place was nice and cosy. Menus came and the ladies decided on Pizza and the men all on calamari platter which we thought would not be enough for us but lets see. The food came and boy that platter was huge with calamari everywhere and done all ways. The pizza was also very good but the star was that platter the calamari was fresh and done perfectly it was definitely some of the best i have ever had. The calamari platter was quite on the high price side at R250 but its a lot i must add. I will return again to eat that platter it was that good.
