Catch 22 Beachside Grille & Bar

Did not plan to eat here, but what a treat. Walked in from the street and loved the view, the service and the Tapas. We tried six of their tapas and the highlights for sure were the Tuna Carpaccio, the Cowboy fries, the Ribs and prawn poppers. The 1 liter Catch Strawberry and blue berry cooler was great! So in summary you should!

Nice views of the ocean. Buzzing inside even at 15h00! Locals seem to love it. Hake and chips was good but nothing blew my hair back. Probably because I'm tired so go give it a try.

My first-time visiting Catch 22. The food was tasty with generous portions. The service from the staff was great and friendly. Covid protocols were strictly followed which was reassuring when venturing out

We popped in for a quick snack and a drink. We ordered sushi and fish goujons. Very good! Will be back soon for a proper wine and dine. Our Waiter, Richard, was amazing. Thanks Catch 22, keep up the good food and service.

Someone recommended we try this restaurant. And were we pleasantly surprised. Cyphus was an excellent waiter. And the food was delicious. We shard the peanut butter beef skewers, salt and pepper goujouns and tempura prawns for starters. Thereafter I had the spanish prawns with add on veggies and my husband the hake with veggies for mains. Delicious. Thanks, when we come back one day we will definitely pop in again.

Catch 22 is always my first choice and as many times as I frequent them they don’t disappoint. The waiters and waitresses are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Great atmosphere and even better view. No doubt I will be back soon.

They are known for their seafood but we have eaten at this restaurant often over the past few years and their seafood is just as good as their steak and burgers. In fact, we took my in-laws there recently and they reckon it was the best steak they have ever had. They normally have a very large menu but have trimmed it down after reopening during the covid era. It still covers all the popular meals most people would order - hake and chips, combos with prawns and calamari, sushi, steak, burgers etc. There are also blackboard specials that change frequently. The wine list is quite small but there are good options for all budgets and tastes. The restaurant is owner-managed and they always go the extra mile to keep customers happy. The service can be a bit slow at times (they are often very busy!), but the food is always delicious and worth the wait.

Although coastal restaurants have access to the best and freshest seafood some of them do not know how to cook it to perfection which can spoil the entire meal. Not this place! The calamari was good and tender covered in a wonderfully spicy batter. The prawns slid out of the shell easily and was served with a side of the delicious fries. This spot is also great for watching the kite surfers on Blouberg beach.

Dinner was real good and excellent service, food and drinks was quick although the restaurant was very busy!

We were pleasantly surprised it was an on the spur decision driving pass and chose this restaurant. It was full but we were accommodated with seating on the balcony. There was a bit of a chill in the air and we were offered a blanket and heaters were available. The restaurant has a good buzz . Good place for family and friends to meet.ordered a soulmate platter and followed by desert creme brulee and volcanic chocolate cake and cupichinno and espresso.
