Butcher Boys - Morningside

This is a very professional steakhouse with great food and service. I highly recommend Butcher Boys, especially for business meals and date nights. I have never left here disappointed.

It's sadly 2 years since we returned to our favourite restaurant because of this awful pandemic & we were treated like royalty! We celebrated our 61st Anniversary there again, but this time all alone, as family far & wide! The service was the best as always, wonderful atmosphere, Maharaj & our lovely waitron Mellow were so kind, we had our favourite fillet steaks done to perfection & were treated to a special icecream & liqueur, divine!! Thanks again Butcher Boys, we will be back again hopefully soon for lamb shanks! Thanks again Pat & Glen xx

Amazing food and atmosphere would highly recommend this place but poor customer service waitresses have attitudes and gossip about customers in front of them no ethics and professionalism experienced this first hand on my visit for the food I'll give a 5 star but unfortunately the way in which I got treated was of disgust hv to give a 2 star

It was good to see social distancing well adhered to and everything was sanatised and clean. The lamb ribs were a little too fatty for my taste, next time I will stick with beef or pork but the basting was superb. One of the best I have had. The creme brûlée was of international class and the don pedro had a good shot of whiskey. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Hands down the best meat joint in Durban* Atmosphere= 4/5 (Place is lovely man, just almost always full :(. )*Customer Service = 5/5*Food = 5/5 (best steak house period.) *Price = 3/5 (bit pricey but good value for money, definitely worth every cent)Highly recommend this place... Will definitely go back when we are in the area.

A very old and traditional steak house. The steak was very good however the managers grumpy attitude towards our request for a seat at the window spoilt everything. Won’t see us again

Consistently Deliciously superb. 21 years' experience in the business shows when you are as good at something as Lazzie. Best steaks, done to perfection, delicious chips and mouthwateringly good Madagascan green pepper corn sauce is what I had last time but I think everything is good

BUTCHER BOYS FLORIDA ROADThe Butcher Boys franchise is always been an amazing dining experience with a very high reputation which they always up held for me until now..My cousin and I went for dinner on the 26th October at 6:00. We ordered drinks and I noticed the waitress bringing the man who was next to us his food in a takeaway package. I didn’t think too much of it but then my cousin over heard the the man asking the waitress why she has brought his food in a takeaway box? She replies that she did because people did not feel comfortable with him being here because he was homeless and looked scruffy. He then informed here he was given a voucher to eat there and he wanted to eat on a plate. She then said that it was not her instructions and that he had to leave. We spoke to her and said that is actually very horrible and with tears in her eyes she said she’s just following orders. My cousin then asked to speak to the manager and explained that was so inhumane to treat someone that badly as he was not doing anything wrong and he had a voucher so they were not in anyway loosing money or had any right to treat him this way -in which she said absolutely nothing and just nodded her head and left our table with no resolution or care in the world. Extremely poor management skills. My cousin and I saw that this man ate his burger in the takeaway box at his table and left the note below. We then called the manager again and had such a heart felt conversation in which we stated she would never do that to anyone else who came into there with a voucher nor serve them their food in a takeaway or ask them to leave. You can clearly see the man cannot afford to eat there or never has so why not make his experience memorable and pleasant so he can have one good night? We said to her that we never know or can judge someone’s circumstances and after all the bad and evil in this world you would just wish people would not be so cruel to innocent people- especially such an well known high end establishment. In which she responded with one sentence- “I was not here while this happened so I cannot judge.” Yes, Butcher Boys has excellent food(always) and excellent service(in some) but the morals and humanity gets a -0. Why treat people differently on how they dressed? Because it doesn’t fit into your “high” end fine dinning experience? Feeling disappointed. There many many other places who have better food and better morals that I can take my business else where from now on

Exceptional service. Incredible meals....nothing compares to this steak restaurant in Durban! Their steaks are done to perfection. Their sides are more than enough!

Always a good steak experience here. Quality & service is consistent, vibe & decor is good with parking nearby. Need I say more, try it.
