Bobo's

A great restaurant for a beach view lunch- average spend per person is roughly R600.00 for a glass of wine starters and mains. This is a place that doesn't skimp on the quality of the food, food is quick, comes exactly as ordered and the taste is magnificent. This is a perfect place to soak up the kelp soaked shores of the Atlantic. Wear sunglasses if you sit outside! Food was excellent. I had Prawns in a bisque starter and a Cheese, Bacon and Everything else hamburger served with skinny fries. Was YUM, A must visit.

A great venue with very good service. Good variety on the lunch menu with a great selection of wines to choose from. Our host Eddie was a hit, from the moment he took our telephone reservation, throughout the meal. A great personal touch. The prawns are fantastic. The steak wasnt the best this time, but the rest of the meal was very enjoyable.

Food was okay but took a while to arrive and service was very slow on the Friday night we went. All the courses were very average and gin watermelon ginger cocktail wasn’t as described. Overall quite disappointing.

We dropped by Bobo’s for a few drinks on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The place was buzzing with numerous birthday parties and groups of friends having drinks. It is clearly a popular venue and is excellent for drinks (we did not have food here). They have an extensive menu of wine by the glass, and we tried the cocktails, which were very good. The servers are attentive and helpful and the service was very prompt.

Ok so this place is BEAUTIFUL. My friends and I were welcomed and front of house seated us at an amazing table at the last minute. As soon as I mentioned that it was my birthday, Marlon offered me a birthday treat from Bobo’s. I’m blown away by this place and we’re definitely coming back soon.

I have dined here a numerous amount of times and I am always happy with the food and service. How ever one of my family members that dinned with us ordered the panna cotta and it was far from set. I’m not sure if it was left on the pass or if that’s just how the chef serves his food but I was a bit disappointed with that it was even allowed to leave the kitchen.

I visited Bobo's on Friday evening and it was nothing short of spectacular. We were well look after from the moment we arrived. The host, Danelle, and our waiter, Mike, were friendly and very attentive, making sure we have the best experience. The manager, Marlon, frequently checked in to make sure all remained in order. He is an absolute nut case and had us in stitches throughout the evening. His passion for food, the restaurant and great service was evident. Marlon is a real Gem-squash and we were nuts about him. The Bobo's team is a class act. The food was amazing - we opted for the Summer Special which is really great value for money. For a sweet treat I ordered both the Baked Alaska and the Bobo's Sundae - I just couldn't resist. Pure brilliance! Try it... Because I sure will be going back. Forever ever... The restaurant itself is perfectly located and will provide pure joy to those who are into chasing Cape Town sunsets. What a vibe.Bobo's Restaurant you are absolutely Tee-riffic! We had made a booking early as we were told when making the booking that we would still be able to order from the summer 3 course menu. Upon arrival we asked the waiter to give us 5 minutes to decide on our drinks. We ended up waiting 25 minutes for the waiter to come back and this being said the restaurant was not even busy. When the waiter finally come to place our drinks order we asked him for the 3 course menu and were told it finished at 5h30. We then asked to speak to the manager who arrived 10 minutes later and who was not even called but just came around to all tables asking how they were doing. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant as we had been there for about 35-40 minutes with no service at all.

What can be more idyllic than enjoying a fabulous meal while looking out onto the Atlantic seaboard in Cape Town? I have been to Bobo's a few times since they opened and it's always a great experience. Once again we enjoyed service on point and delicious food. The menu has just enough of everything and it's all expertly prepared.The decor is beautiful and the location is amazing, a place to meet friends and impress people from out of town for sure!The only improvement I will suggest is to offer a few meal options for kids, as most of the food options are fine dining and the portions are generous.

Cape Town, South AfricaOne of the highlights of 2020 was visiting Bobos! We were welcomed and attended to with care. Not only were we helped at speed. The whole experience was one to remember. The staff was nothing short of excellent. The manager seated us personally, checking in and ensuring we are having a fantastic experience. The waitress was attentive and the food, delicious!
