Bientang's Cave Restaurant & Wine Bar

Location is stunning! The food is very good and staff friendly. It’s best to book over lunch or busy times. The fish and chips is great!

The Restaurant is situated with a beautiful view of the ocean.Enjoyed the calamari very much, it was cooked perfectly!

nice view ,but that is it!What a shame,being on the coast and serving such poor seafood...Never again!

This restaurants view is incredible! It’s quite an experience sitting at your table and having the ocean spray up right next to you. Our cocktails were divine but the food was rather expensive. Most waiters walk around without their masks on though.

The setting of this restaurant could not be better. Situated in a cave with tables on the rocks it is spectacular. Table 44 couldn't get any closer to the water. It is rather on the expensive side and the desert was pricey and disappointing but main course the Bientangs potjie was excellent as was the seafood platter.

Worst fish meals for everyone.....so disappointing with overseas visitors. Lovely vibe but the food prices are absolutely ridiculous to say the least. Owners needs to look at food quality...after all it is a restaurant!!! You get the feeling that you are so fortunate to come to their restaurant....it borders on arrogance.....will never suggest this place again or take our visitors for a unaffordable meal

It is a lovely place, that’s absolutely worth a visit. Unfortunately seems the restaurant to take advantage of that and doesn‘t care about service and food quality at all. So I experienced a mediocre service and bad food at a ridiculously high price. Go there for a drink, or just visit the place, it’s open to everyone. Don’t eat there.

We had 2 lunches at this wonderful restaurant this year: it's got the best location in Hermanus on thé rocks ! Covid secure and delicious food !
