Bellgables Country Restaurant

Presented Delaire Graff wine pairing evening at #Bellgables with Errol Gobey?. For welcome drinks we enjoyed the Delaire Graff Coastal Cuvée. Refreshing with tones of nettle and summer fruits and lingering aftertaste. The menu was absolutely Excellent and so tasty! We had to start at 17:00 in order to abide by curfew and alcohol restrictions. The Tomato soup paired with the Delaire Graff Cabernet Franc Rosé was exceptional and daring at the same time. It is always quite tricky to find the perfect pair with Tomato, and this was very well thought through. Salmon roses with the honey chive dressing paired harmonious with the Summer court Chardonnay and I was in awe. The stuffed fillet... whow! amazing, succulent, spiced right and loved the crunch of the veggies. The light white pepper undertone of the Delaire Graff Shiraz added beautifully to this course.I have never tasted a chocolate Crème Brulée beforeBut the pairing with the single vineyard Delaire Graff Banghoek Reserve Merlot was next level. A scoop of the sauce drizzled on the plate with a bite of the Crème Brulée paired perfectly with the spicy plum and berry flavor, and the silky tanen of this wine. I highly recommend the dining experience at Bellgables, you are always in for a treat.

We understand why Bellgables is rated nr 1 on TripAdvisor for Muldersdrift. Amazing meal, decor, art, cellar and even spotted some game. We were looked after by Grace with 24 years experience at the restaurant. Simply brilliant.

The ambience is extremely relaxing and the service is top notch, waiters follow basic serving rules i.e serving from the right etc. The food is really well prepared however the flavour combinations weren’t the best (rich lamb shank, creamy vegetables and cheesy mash). Excellent restaurant overall

Wonderful, unusual decor and ambiance. Food was top notch. Service attentive and “old school” special. Highly recommended. Try it with a bunch of friends for something special. Or a romantic meal fir two.

Such an uplifting soul-feeding evening of simply amazing food in a magical space!! The wife and I so needed to escape reality and the proprietor Errol took us to another world of opulence and flavours. Thank you.

I hosted a party of ±50 guests at this beautiful quaint restaurant, which is a little gem ± 10kms outside of Johannesburg. Driving through giraffes, springbok, impala and zebra was such a welcome sight, that immediately relaxes you.The restaurant, with its beautiful decor, scrumptious food prepared by world-renowned Chef Errol Gobey is something to die for. We were treated with such hospitality, that I will definitely host my future functions at this fine establishment.

Amazing place, in a game reserve with an odd yet beautiful assortment of objets d’art. Tall bronzes of Roman or Greek gods vie with huge Thai temple lions, and each table has an assortment of stuff. Food good but not excellent, generous servings, friendly, helpful staff make dining here an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful place in the countryside. We even saw wild zebras. The garden is beautiful and the restaurant great decorated. The staff is quite slow and not always understand what you ask. We were the only four in this big restaurant. The creamy soup of mushrooms was tasty. But my lambshank over cooked and swimming in a sauce I didn’t like. The garnish was cold and not appetizing. The dessert average. No to be honest expected much more at this nice place. Also not cheap here
