Arbour Cafe & Courtyard

Really lovely brunch this morning in the Courtyard just thru the entrance in the Arbour Cafe.The breakfast itself was outstanding ... portions very generous ... and delivered exactly how I ordered it.I will certainly start to visit regularly.

Such a lovely experience having weekend brunch at Arbour.The staff is friendly and helpful. The seating in the courtyard was lovely.A great variety of food on offer. Quality and taste of food was superb. Their croissants took us back to Paris. The best croissants that we have had in Johannesburg so far.Loved my omelette and he loved his galette. The owner was also very friendly and helpful, checking on us during our meal.I had a lovely non alcoholic toddy which totally soothed my throat. Coffee was also excellent.Will definitely return soon.

I have had the luxury of eating at Arbour Cafe in their courtyard a few times. The food is absolutely fabulous and healthy. The service is always consistently great and the courtyard is the most beautiful setting. Great place for a birthday, baby shower, Christmas lunch.

Seven of us met for breakfast to celebrate a wedding anniversary at this lovely venue. It has a lovely courtyard out the back. Most had the pancakes with various fillings, one including spinach and an egg. It was reported as delicious. I had the full breakfast - one of the best with everything being cooked to order perfectly. Some of us had extra rye toast, sound simple but most places don’t get it right, however, served with jam it was spot on. Thanks to Carly for looking after us. We’ll be back.

Had a great lunch at Arbour Cafe & Courtyard I can definitely recommend the Galette with Smoked salmon, capers, cucumber, dill crème fraîche & an egg. Arbour looks small from the street, but don’t let that fool you, they have a great courtyard just behind the cafe.

Arbour Cafe is Johannesburg's best kept secret. The little courtyard is great to sit and enjoy a delicious breakfast and coffee after bootcamp. In the courtyard you forget the hassle and bussle of the city and feel completely secluded.

We had lunch here as part of restaurant week. The cafe has tables outside, inside as well as in the courtyard area where umbrellas provide shade.The menu is extensive and has something on offer for all tastes. I had the brie starter and chicken as a main. Both options were delicious, well prepared and presented.Portions are sizeable and more than sufficient for lunchThe service was friendly with enough attention without it being overwhelmingDefinitely worth visiting in Jozi - a real gem

Am back in Jo'burg and first pit stop is Arbour cafe. It's a fabulous place to relax in the sunshine and enjoy breakfast or brunch (haven't yet dined here in the evening). I've tried their fresh juice, buckwheat galettes, scrambled eggs...and lots more. Stand outs for me....creamy mushrooms (my absolute fave) and the creamed spinach, leek and feta. So delicious. Service can be a tad slow....but this is a plus if you want to enjoy your food in a relaxed, unhurried manner then this is the place to come! Reasonable prices. I've noticed this time that lots of customers bring their dogs who roam around the tables. I'm not a fan...

This hidden gem is ideal for a quick bite or a long lunch or cake & coffee. We enjoyed a breakfast buffet as part of an event in the courtyard. All the dishes were tasty, fresh, and the coffee was well executed. The service was prompt and friendly. Ideal for coffee, brunch or lunch.
