Dine in a castle in Pretoria but feel as if you are in the heart of Istanbul, fantastic decor, amazing entertainment. The food is excellent, three Turkish menu's to choose from or choose from the A la Carte menu.

I hosted my 50th birthday at this amazing venue. Everything was just perfect. The ambiance , the food, the service was all just unbelievable . Entertainment was top notch and all my guest loved the experience . The owner was super friendly and so was all the staff who are very well trained . I will be back so soon as this is one of the best restaurants i have been to in ages . A little pricey BUT you get what you pay for and you are not short changed . I loved this place and already will be booking for December . Do not miss this amazing experience , it is honestly amazing .WELL DONE

Exquisite decor, you would think you are in a restaurant in Istanbul. The doner kebab is a must have and the hot mezze for two was a taste explosion for 4. Some affordable Spier wine and bubbly. Friendly waiter. Will go back soon one evening for the belly dancing experience.

Great food and Turkish music in the background rounds off the whole evening. It's something completely different than the usual steak and chips that you get from other restaurants. Take your whole family, you won't be sorry!

Beautiful venue but terrible and poor service. I took my business partners for year end dinner and we were actually shocked and surprised by the poor service that we received. We were put to sit in a dark corner on the terrace while all other guest were seated inside the venue despite that there were seats available on the inside. We were not asked if it was ok or not. When we asked why we people of colour are being seated outside the manager, kala, for the night said "we were just talking about that" with a condescending attitude and making a joke about it. We further asked if its normal for the other guest to have a fan in this hot weather and also close to the entertainment and we people of colour were told "we did not ask". Its is shocking to ask for if we were not offered in the first place. The managers attitude was terrible and she was arrogant and accused us of telling that she was being r@ci$t when we never mentioned that word. Service was extremely slow as other guest were served before us although we were in the venue before them. Our waiter was not helpful at all and kept disappearing to assist the other tablets. Food was average. No woah factor and neither could taste any exotic or special Turkish. Will never ever go back and doesn't recommend this venue. If you are someone of colour you ll be treated differently in this age at the venue. Terrible experience.

The entrance to this estate is breathtaking and unexpected. It is very authentic and on a grand scale. We enjoyed all the colours, artwork and mosaics, and the gardens are also lovely. It is fun to sit on cushions and order authentic turkish dishes such as kabobs and hummus and flatbreads. The kids enjoyed exploring, as there are lots of interesting nooks and crannies. There is also a gorgeous spa on the property, which we were given a tour of. I's love to go back and try it.

Had a wonderful evening out with the love of my life.The belly dancers were amazing and extremely entertaining. Will bring more cash next time for when they perform. The food was well prepared. A definite gem. Lastly, I love the indoor tents.. can't wait to visit again

You have to try if you like spicy and middle eastern food and if you want to feel if you travelled to the Middle east while still in South Africa.

Not even worth the one star I had to click on this app.Firstly we had a cold welcome at the gates, the staff were not ready. We had to ask if we could please go inside as it is really cold. We waited at the door while someone swept up broken bottles from the doorway where broken fruit lay (probably had a killer party the night before).There is no form of heating in the spa, toilets were not flushed and I was told that they don’t ‘do’ pregnant women, but on the phone I was told differently by 3 different people. Eventually explained to the lady that I usually lie on my side for pregnancy massages and she said ‘yes that’s how we do it’ (confusing much?). My husband wanted to leave but I decided to give them a chance. Asked for extra blanket and was told that they do not have, I was adamant that I needed one so the lady found some in the adjacent treatment room. Therapist kept losing momentum during the massage, all this while I was freezing cold. It was more like an oil application done very half heartedly. We started half an hour late and I warned them not to cut short treatment time. Massage ended five minutes early, rather abruptly. Then came the so-called one hour facial, this took place in 35 minutes. It was basically face wash, a horrible burning mask and something like a pretend head massage. Can’t blame the therapists, it’s how they were trained. Hard to believe that this place won an award some years ago. What a waste of a gorgeous venue that could do with some TLC. Asked for the owner and staff fumbled around trying to get hold of her. She never showed up. The henchmen forced us to pay or else we can’t leave (guess they were going to throw us in the castle dungeon)... Don’t waste your time, fuel and hopes. Pathetic service, should not be called a spa at all. Didn’t even try the tea for fear of getting sick as it came out of the fridge.

We met at the restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Our waitress was attentive and kind and able to guide us through the multitude of choices. The starters were good but the mains disappointed. There was only 1 vegetarian main course however we coped as I ordered falafel with large bread. I had to remind those who were serving twice re my bread and only when I spoke to our waitress did the bread appear- it came and was crazy oily and raw - now I understand that fresh food takes a while but after having sent it back 2x for it to be cooked more, I gave up and just ate falafel as is. She apologised profusely but the kitchen let her down. No choice for me for dessert however friends indulged and enjoyed themselves. Then came the bill - the 10% gratuity was already included however the bill was settled by Stan and not the waitress who had served us. We added some extra money as her service was really good. He left. We started chatting and then we were unsure if the waitress would get the tip or if it would be divided amongst the staff. On enquiry with Stan my friend discovered that Stan had pocketed the additional money as he had to take the money physically out of his pocket. Shock and horror. We left on a sour note. Surely the waiter should get the full tip and it should not be shared and how dare Stan pocket the extra money. Lesson - if you want to reward the waitress or waiter give them the actual cash. Will I go back mmmmm not so sure.
