Adega - Bedfordview

First time in Adega Bedfordview at the new Key West Centre and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The food is to die for. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. After being doubled book at another restuarant for Mothers Day. We phoned arround and the manager of Adega went out of his way to accomidate us even letting us in an hour before they opened. Thank you for an unforgetable experience

We were greeted friendly and manager was a great hosts.Our biggest problem was the food. We had attended the sushi buffet and the quality of the sushi was not great at all. They had portions of various fish but not a variety like other buffets. Waiters were slow but did not approve how management approached staff in public. I believe this should be approached behind the scenes as it doesnt leave a great taste in the mouth for guests.We might return for something else on the menu but not in a hurry.

This is the first time at Adegas and we absolutely loved it. They had a sushi buffet with some pretty decent sushi. The tempura prawns were definitely my favorite on the menu. The food was fresh and well presented.The staff were super friendly and attentive to our needs. Michael the owner or the manager made our visit great and our waiter, Lincoln, was friendly with a great sense of humor.

Food was uninspiring and below par. Buffet was the usual food but tasteless at R550 per person, which by the way no normal person can eat food for that amount. The music for the evening made up for what was a disappointing experience.and contributed to a party vibe. However the normal glass of champagne normally included was missing and we had to buy our own to celebrate midnight and welcome in 2020. We will definitely not be visiting this venue anytime soon as the impression given was that this evening is a huge money making opportunity and customer experience is not important.

This restaurant used to be fairly decent. It has gone to the dogs. The staff are hopeless, food is below average and pot luck. Worst of all is that management don’t give a rats about any complaint or even make any attempt to rectify. Simply take it or leave it attitude. Service was so bad we had to hunt around the restaurant for plates to eat off as we ordered platters. No knives and forks either. We even had to fetch our own drinks from the bar after waiting 35 minutes for them.Don’t bother going there for any of their specials. They are special for a reason. Specially cheap and specially rubbish with so many rules and t&c’s that you need a commercial contract lawyer with you to decipher what is allowed and what isn’t. But rest assured the manager will be very quick to put you in your place.This restaurant is an absolute disgrace and is so badly run that I cannot see it being around for much longer. A pity as it used to be decent.

After ordering Chicken Salad & a dish from the daily Specials was waiting from 2.15 pm on 17.8.2019. Till 3 .30 pm there was no sign of food. Reminding twice also the food was not served. I wanted to see the Manager( Micheal) who did not turn up. I went to see him to report this inordinate delay and was totally taken aback at his attitude & reaction; he was indifferent, unapologetic and asked us to wait as they were busy. He was least bothered when I told him that I am leaving, he just gestured as he is least bothered!This was witnessed by a senior waitress Shelly, who was very kind and apologetic! Such an unpleasant experience I don't recollect I had ever from any eating place! I have reported this to the owner Loui!

Joined friends for dinner to find out they had entertainment.Entertainment- great but way to loud, don’t want to come out for a dinner and have to scream across the table to talk to people.Food- every one seemed happy with there food except for the steak (but we realized it’s not a steakhouse)Gin - disappointing to be served a craft raspberry & mint gin in a whiskey glass with not much effort of presentation.Won’t be in a rush to return.

I will never go back there again! They are less about good food and more about extorting as much money out of people as possible! 1) go there for a buffet where you have to get up and serve your own food which is expected from a buffet but they force a 10% tip on the bill. Then the waitron still look at you sideways for not giving them an extra tip2) they charge you R10 for a glass of water3) if you don't finish your food, expect to be charged for a doggy bag 4) order the vegetable pasta and get old veg from the buffet in a milk and salt sauce and still pay a fortune for it 5) express your dissatisfaction to Asif (probably the manager) and get treated like your the cheapest person on earth - Asif: "well water and take away containers cost money and we should we pay for it? You use it so you pay for what you use" with an attitude like that I hope they close down

Everything from the staff and service to the delicious food is excellent. Can't fault the place. They even have a kiddie play area outside, if that's what you require. I don't, but haven't been disturbed by anyone elses rugrats either. Definitely worth a visit!
