Just a heads up for people coming here for the entertainer. They don't accept it. Rather go next door

The restaurant still appears on the Entertainer App for a two for one special. When we asked to use it when we got the bill the manager said it was unavailable. I find it shocking that they can get the adverting and benefits of being in the entertainer without offering the special.

86 Public was on the Entertainer and was a very interesting and viby place. We had excellent pizzas and would recommend the food.

Friendly environment, good service, amazing food and drinks. Great place to hang out with friends and enjoy the night :)

The service leaves little to be desired. Waited forever for my salad that I ordered to come with my main course. The chicken in the salad tasted like old oil. The pizza was also bland. The whole evening I received warm cokes with my drinks and the drinks hardly had any ice in.After ordering my third drink I told the waiter that he must please get me a cold coke - He asked the barman who I could hear screaming back at the waiter there is Ice in the glass. I told the barman that the coke is so warm and the two or three half melted blocks of ice dissolve the moment you add the mix. I Also detested the "straight" fork I had to eat with. My coffee I ordered was cold. and then I had to wait 5 minutes for sugar.There were only 5 or 6 tables that had guests - So was not busy

I’ve been to both the Illovo and Randburg branches, and I have never had any complaints.Illovo i’ve only had pizza which is amazing, great selection and taste.The Randburg one I order on Mr D or Uber eats alot, I LOVE the pasta. Their chicken and Mushroom pasta is to die for.When I do go and eat in the Waiters are friendly. It is not ideal to go on a Thursday or Friday if you want a nice quiet dinner, it gets very loud.

Enjoyed Friday afternoon drinks and light snacks with some friends, service was good and prices reasonable. Light meal was good although a limited menu. Good atmosphere for friends visit.

86 Republic serves amazing food. The place was full, every table occupied and the waiters did their best. It was a good experience. The location is also really good. Menu isn't that wide but what they have on the menu they make really well. It is a good for a hangout with friends.

After having made a dinner reservation 2 weeks in advance and confirming the reservation 2 hours prior to arrival, on arrival to the restaurant we were told rudely that they were closing for the night. (This was 19:30) Absolutely appalled. Will never return.

Got there about 6.30pm, got a great table, and menus, thats where their service stopped. Our waitron took our drinks orders and the food orders. One of the drinks was not communicated to the bar, so it took ages to get to the table. We ordered pizzas four of them came as ordered, one was not, she got the ingredients wrong, so it was sent back and had to wait until they re did the pizza, the pizza then came with onions, which were raw, was sent back again, finally got there :) Key location, but in this day and age of such competitiveness, this restaurant will probably not exist very long. Overall a disappointing experience with mediocre pizza, inexperienced service.
