Having moved up 26 places and into the hallowed Top 20, this bastion of contemporary French-meets-Asian fine dining thereby also clinched the Acqua Panna Best Restaurant in Africa and Middle East Award.

He starts with the thought that "A dish has to be understandable and have bold flavours. From that I build it and add textures and presentation. I’m always tweaking and refining to find a dish’s full potential. My mantra is ‘taste, taste, taste!' A meal at La Colombe is one of Cape Town’s greatest pleasures." As from September 2010, Luke has embarked on his new role at La Colombe as Culinary Consultant with protégé, Scot Kirton leading as Head Chef and Manager. With impeccable service and an award-winning wine list, La Colombe is a truly unforgettable experience!

From Muizenberg, follow the Simon van der Stel (M3) freeway and take the Tokai offramp. Turn left into Tokai Road, follow to the end, around the circle and right takes you into Orpen Road which becomes Spaanschemat River Road. The restaurant can be found on the Constantia Uitsig Estate which is situated on the left hand side of the road and is well sign posted. From the direction of Cape Town, take Ladies Mile off the M3 freeway. Spaanschemat River Road runs across Ladies Mile, and Constantia Uitsig Estate will then be on the right hand side.
