De Viswijf family restaurant, conference facility and also 5 star premium accommodation is located in Jeffrey's Bay in the Eastern Cape. Jeffrey's Bay is known, among things, for its awesome beaches, variety of shells, amazing waves and the 5th stop in the ASP Billabong PRO world tour. The area is traditionally known as the Kouga region and is rich in culture and history. Guests from many different nations and cultures frequent the beaches and streets.
De Viswijf is located south of the Blue Flag Status Dolphin Beach, right on top of the popular server spot, Kitchen Windows.

The name "De Viswijf" originated from the Dutch passenger ship that ran ashore on the beach of Kitchen Windows. The ship was on its way to colonise Madagascar. According to annuals the only survivor was the ship's cook... But to read the complete story you will have to visit De Viswijf.

The Cellar is also used as another venue to enjoy a delicious meal... It is an intimate and cosy venue, perfect to enjoy quality time with your friends or family. And of course you can taste our range of fine wines. After all, it is a Cellar.
