Open Mondays to Sundays (closed Sunday nights), it is a lunch and dinner venue. A drink can be enjoyed on the deck or in the bar throughout the afternoon.
Giles carries a cartoon theme across is walls and tables, and across most of its old world wooden interior.

The menu is interesting and varied. The menu changes with the seasons and there are always special dishes available, varying from fish and chips (in newspaper) to aubergine towers. Giles caters for most tastes and continually monitors trends, introducing new dishes to meet customer needs.
Giles has a wine list that will have something for everybody. A monthly special event is the wine tasting on the last Sunday evening of the month. Top estates showcase their wines to the accompaniment of a five-course gourmet meal (booking absolutely essential).

From Johannesburg/Pretoria - Take the M1. Take the Corlett Drive off ramp. Travel westwards up Corlett past the Wanderers Cricket Stadium. Join into Oxford Road and take the first right into Bompas Road. Travel down Bompas to Jan Smuts Avenue. Go straight across. Stay in Bompas for 250 metres. At the T-Junction turn left into Northumberland. Take the 2nd right into Roxburghe. Giles is 100 metres straight ahead.
From Roodepoort/Nicol Highway - Take the Nicol Highway off ramp. Drive in the direction of Jo’burg. Eventually, with Hyde Park on your left, Nicol joins Jan Smuts. Keep going left in the direction of Rosebank. At the 3rd robot, next to the Dunkeld West Shopping Centre turn right into Bompas Road. Stay in Bompas for 250 metres. At the T-Junction turn left into Northumberland. Take the 2nd right into Roxburghe. Giles is 100 metres straight ahead.
