Vandiar's Indian Cuisine will strive to be a premier local fine curry brand in the local marketplace. We want our customers to have the total experience when visiting our outlets. Our main focus will be serving high-quality food at a great value. We want “word-of-mouth” to be our best form of marketing, where our customers value our brand as something exciting and cannot wait to tell their friends and neighbours.
We have been in the hospitality industry in Cape Town for over 10 years. Our previous venue on Bree Street Served authentic Durban-style curries. We built up a good reputation and a loyal customer base, however decided to “take it to the streets”. Our mobile unit can be found in and around Cape Town for special occasions and events. At the beginning of 2013 we opened Vandiar’s finest cuisine on Dunkley Square. Six months down the line we have already created a regular customer base for both take out and sit-in.
There is a very patriotic Durban crowd that resides in Cape Town and through Durban’s Finest; we have discovered they are dying for home style cooking.
The Venue will offer nothing but freshly cooked curries, breyani’s and savoury snacks including a variety of unique blend sauces and spices, all served with home-style love and care. Durban style curry is unique in taste and spice. We use more red chillies and red chilli power. A bunny chow is an authentic dish typically associated with Durban. Bunny chow is one of those foods you can
eat practically anywhere. our preparation of breyani is very different to the Cape Malay way - and packed with flavour and spices. our style rotis, also unique to Durban, is a thinner base compared to the local "Salomi’s", with a curry of choice.
A different selection of curries, snacks and sauces will be featured every few months, as well as a selection of lassi’s and calming yoghurt drinks to ease the chilli heat.
