Tintswalo, known for their extraordinary Safari Lodge & Presidential Suite and Manor House located in the heart of the Manyeleti Reserve, has introduced Tintswalo at Waterfall to their South African stable. Located on the grounds of the exclusive 240-acre Waterfall Country & Equestrian Estate and only 10 minutes north of the Sandton CBD, the hotel boasts spectacular views across the pristine fields, the estate dams and the distant Magaliesberg Mountains.

The building, designed to emulate a stable with thick, stone-clad walls, double volume spaces and heavy bolted timber roof trusses, houses sixteen beautifully appointed rooms, complete with custom-designed furnishings. Earth tones, dark, rough-cut wood, steel and textured fabrics complement the marble flooring and make way to a central walkway paved with earthen brickwork.

The creative Tintswalo at Waterfall chefs re-create the menu’s on a daily basis – the below menu’s merely serve as an example of the culinary journey that diners could expect when visiting Tintswalo at Waterfall.

The dining area and outside deck offers a tranquil and spacious eating space, and a well-stocked underground wine cellar is a special alternative for dining, networking and socializing.

Of particular note is the delectable breakfast overlooking the polo field. Fresh fruit smoothies, slithered salmon, chef-made muesli paired with seasonal fruit and yoghurt is followed by an English breakfast with a choice of bacon and egg or a selection of mouth watering omelettes. Freshly baked miniature pastries served with sumptuous homemade jam and with a plunger of robust filter coffee or a refreshing pot of tea makes the breakfast an indulgence not to be missed. Dinner in the restaurant focuses on quality. Unpretentious, fresh and tasty three course meals can be paired with superb wines and rounded off with a fine selection of cognacs, whiskeys and cigars. There are very few places in Johannesburg to match the stillness and space that embodies the essence of Tintswalo at Waterfall.

From the N1 (Western Bypass) take the M9 turnoff towards Sunninghill and turn right into Witkoppen Road. Continue with Witkoppen untill the road runs into Maxwell Drive. Turn left here and follow the curve of the road. Tintswalo at Waterfall will be on your left.
