The Quarterdeck Restaurant is situated in the PortsWood Hotel in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The Restaurant is located in an original section of the Breakwater Convict Station, which was built in 1860. Rich in heritage and history, we specialize in Traditional Cape Malay Cooking.
Our menu also offers several additional dishes to patrons that decide not to have Cape Malay Food. The Restaurant’s specialty meal is the Chef’s Feast. It is a three-course meal, which comprises of all the best selling items on the menu, hand picked by our Head Chef, Craig Paulse.
When choosing a Chef’s Feast the patrons will be taken on a culinary journey, to experience the different food items that makes Cape Malay food so unique.
The Quarterdeck Restaurant also has a boardroom as part of its facilities that allows guests up to a maximum of 10 to have their meetings or conferences in the boardroom and thereafter come for lunch and or dinner.
The Link Bar is part of the Quarterdeck Restaurant where guests can enjoy a cocktail or an ice cold drink with Table Mountain and our green indigenous garden as a backdrop.
We offer special conferencing rates and menus to all our corporate clients and Set Menus or Buffets can be planned according to your specific requirements.
Travelling on the Eastern Boulevard into Cape Town. Exit Eastern Boulevard and at the second set of traffic lights turn right into Western Boulevard and right again into Portswood Road. You'll find the Quarterdeck Restaurant inside the Portswood Hotel at the end of the road on the right hand side.
